Masquerading as a man with a reason; my charade is the event of the season. And if I claim to be a wise man, well, it surely means that I don't know. On a stormy sea of moving emotion, tossed about, I'm like a ship on the ocean. I set a course for winds of fortune, but I hear the voices say: carry on my wayward son, there'll be peace when you are done. lay your weary head to rest, don't you cry no more.
Wolf "I don't doubt it," Wolfpaw returns light-heartedly, head titled to one side in amusement. This tom was certainly...different, than the warriors he'd come into contact with before -- granted, he'd only ever really met two, and both were female. One was his mentor. So, maybe he didn't have much to go on. "A voyage of silence, huh?" He repeats, more of a thoughtful statement than a question. "Guess that didn't last long." There isn't any real heat behind his words, but Wolfpaw snorts for good measure.
Wolfpaw takes in Raggedwolf's flustered behavior with a smug simper, emerald orbs flashing with a temporary gleam of pride. It was always a victory when he could get someone worked up. "Good," is the blonde's only response, and he casts a hooded glance at Raggedwolf, tail giving a single lash behind him. So maybe he was flirting. Just a little. But, with a swift scan at the many authoritative figures surrounding them, Wolfpaw figured it'd be in his best interest to stop. Wrong place, wrong time.
Small? Been worse? Wolfpaw almost felt bad for his new acquaintance, but was quick to remind himself of the position he held in the clearing. "Uh, TreeClan's good. Plenty of kits. It, uh, rains a lot, sometimes. But we're doing okay." Well. He'd said better things about TreeClan, but Wolfpaw didn't want to give too much away. "So. Got yourself any apprentices, yet?" tagged: @birdsspitonme | notes: none template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

Spiderleaf sighed dramatically, though she was sure Robinstar was right. No point hurtling towards the apprentice and potentially giving them a heart-attack. "She's nice? You're not training her too hard or anything?" Spiderleaf murmured, her concern taking a motherly shift towards the she-cat. Then her radiant smile was back and the female nodded inn agreement. "Far too long. Perhaps next time I'm by the border I'll try to break my whole leg; and stick around for a while." She was only teasing, but the queen stilled leaned in and lowered her voice before she said as much. Her attention shifted when she detected movement behind Robinfrost, and turned her gaze to a smaller she-cat dawdling around. Spiderleaf's expression was confused for a moment, before she took a wild guess as to the she-cat's origins. Her eyes widened with excitement. "ROBBIE IS THAT THE ONE!?" She shouted, gesturing avidly towards Oakpaw with her tail to get her point across. THIS IS THE NEW YEAR

Crevicepaw nodded enthusiastically in response to his inquiry, not expecting him to suspect her to be so old. She just thought he was surprised that it was also another apprentice's first. "I would say that we're on the same level of experience," she whispered, a bit behind on her training due to switching mentors. Not that Thicketpaw would have to know about that. She then bounced around the Fireclanner when asked about Deathclan. "I was a kit when Deathclan ambushed Rockclan!" she responded, loving the seriousness in the tom's posture. It was cute in a way, like if it was his number one concern ever. "So I don't remember the cats who stayed with us, but they did have a really bad smell." With that, Crevicepaw wrinkled her nose, disgusted by the memory of such an odor. "Yeah, it's bound to end soon. I mean, it's not like these things can last all night, right?" She then whacked her tail across the tom's shoulder. "I'd bet Cloudclan on my warrior's name that that will never happen."

Mottledsnow Thunderhowl ThornfallAzaleapaw at least was thankful Lionpaw had appologized, even if she still felt her fur was ruffled. With a small sigh, she listened to the apprentices exchange conversation amongst each other quite easily despite them being enemies, as Thornpaw had pointed out a moment before. Did she really belong here? Gatherings like this really weren't her thing. Even if what Mottledpaw had said was ringing in her ears, she felt like not being here. "Well, anyway, I suppose I'll go off somewhere." she finally put in, backing away slowly with a light dip of her head. "It was nice to meet you all."((getting Azalea away so I can bring in Gecko, so pretty much consider her out of the gathering and everything now))

*Are we allowed to continue this even though it is August?* EmberpawThe calico shecat turned around. Another cat with orange tabby fur was calling out to her. Dappledheart stopped her walking and smiled at her. "Hello." she meowed, trying to be friendly. "I am Dappledheart. What is your name?"

Oakpaw jumped as Spidermask 's eyes fell on her, and looked up at Robinstar almost guiltily, as if she'd been doing something wrong by hanging near. She took a little step forward, slightly confused. What else could have been meant by 'the one'? "I'm Oakpaw," she decided awkwardly, scraping at the ground before she remembered herself and straightened up violently, forcing herself to make eye contact with the queen and nod respectfully. 'Robbie.' That was a strange... She supposed they were quite close friends, though it seemed still comical to refer to her stoic mentor as 'Robbie'

Robinfrost shrugged. "She's not like the other apprentices, which I appreciate. I've noticed that a lot of them act like kits most of the time." He shrugged, giving a small chuckle. "I'm sure I was the same way." He fell silent as he mentioned their past, a sullen expression coming over his face. He had changed so much since then. "Even if I am training her hard, she's a tough cat. She can handle it, I'm sure. She learns fast, and well."
He laughed, shaking his head in amusement. "I can't say I'd complain—as long as you weren't actually hurt," he said, pulling away from Spidermask with a wink, as if they'd just planned something. He blinked in surprise, whirling around to meet the guilty face of Oakpaw. Had she been listening? Hopefully she hadn't heard what they'd been saying. Maybe she heard what I said about her. He hoped not. It wasn't often that someone caught him saying such nice things—not that he didn't think them.
And he didn't want her to get cocky, though he doubted she would. "Yes." He responded to Snap, giving a nod to Oakpaw. "Hello, Oakpaw," he greeted, watching her a little suspiciously. As long as she hadn't heard the thing about Spiderleaf… ah, visiting. He stifled the chuckle at his friend's excitement. "This is my apprentice. Oakpaw, Spiderleaf, the RockClan queen," he introduced.
"Don't use that name in public," he murmured out of the corner of his mouth, flicking her flank lightly with his tail. The deputy cleared his throat, turning to his apprentice a moment later. "This is your first gathering, yeah?"
