But you'll look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for two. open! The young warrior padded into the warrior's den for the first time. Not just a warrior, no, he was the depty too. It was incredibly overwhelming. Surely it meant Foxtuft and Darkstar had seen something noteworthy within him. He just had to focus on that, and get to know his clanmates. After all, he couldn't be a good deputy without their trust and loyalty. At his core, Jackalfrost was just like any other new, young warrior. And he didn't have a nest. "Hello?" |

Echoflight padded into the warriors den, distracted, and nearly collided with another cat. She jumped backwards, nearly falling before managing to regain her balance, and hen making her way, slightly miffed, around the warrior, a dark tortoiseshell tom. "Hello," she replied, flopping down on a nest and looking up at him with a slight smile. She recognized him.
"You're the new deputy, right?" she asked, realization dawning on her as she took his excitedly nervous face in. "Jackalfrost, wasn't it? Congratulations!" She shifted, a little awkward. It was strange to be moons older than a deputy. Not that she'd ever wanted the position, but it felt odd.

Thunderfox padded into the warriors den and smiled kindly as he saw the new deputy and warrior. Thunder padded over to them. "Hello you two." He said and padded over to his nest.

But you'll look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for two. echoflight, thunderfox Jackalfrost gaped when a much older warrior collided with him, but he recovered quickly and cleared his throat. Or at least he thought he did, that was until the she-cat started talking. The young warrior almost gagged, and sent a wince in the she-cat's direction. "Please, at least for a day, just pretend I'm the new warrior Jackalfrost," he half-begged. "I'm trying to pretend this is at least half-way normal. Which it isn't." New warriors weren't just made deputy, and while he knew Foxtuft had been planning the thing for quite a while, he still felt horrifically under-prepared. He then turned as Thunderfox, one of his old friends and a warrior he had just recently named appeared. "Thundefox, hey." He purred. |

Treasurehunt walked in and stayed along the den wall away from the doorway if others were going to come in. To the far left she sat and greeted Thunderfox, and Echoflight and Jackalfrost all at once.
"Hello Echoflight and Thunderfox." The warrior said,"Jackalfrost? That's a great name!" It was easy to know the name of Thunder since Jackalfrost named him. She waved her tail happily.

Echoflight pressed her lips together, a bit amused. "No problem," she mewed, "but at least it shows they really have some faith in you." She smiled at him. "But I won't linger on it," she promised, distractedly dipping her head to the next cat that wandered into the den. "Thunderfox," she mewed, echoing Jackalfrost's words. "Nice to meet you."
She turned as another cat entered the den, one she vaguely recognized. "Treasurehunt, hi." With a stifled purr, she glanced at all four cats that had so quickly occupied the space. This had quickly become a very strange group of cats.

"Yes, that right, though now I feel at a disadvantage," he murmured with a slight wince. "I'm sorry, who are you?" Not only that, he hadn't asked the name of the first warrior who had been so kind to him. He send Echoflight a half desperate glance, before remembering that whether he felt it or not, he was the deputy now, and he had to act like it. Composing himself, the tom let out a breath. "You're right. I'll try to live up to your expectations. I'm sorry, I completely forgot to ask your name after you've been so kind to me." |

Moonfur padded quietly into the den, stopping when she saw the cats gathered. Recognizing some, she walked over and joined them. "Hi Jackalfrost, Echoflight, Thunderfox," she smiled at her former apprentice. "and, uh..." she had only met the last cat once, at least. 'Treasurehunt!" she mewed, remembering. "Congrats, by the way," she mewed with a nod to Jackalfrost.

"Oh!" Echoflight purred. "I'm Echoflight, hi, nice to meet you," she said, starting over. "I forgot to tell you, so we're good." A familiar lighthearted mew came from behind her and she turned to face her former apprentice. "Moonfur! Hi! I've barely seen you since you became a warrior, how are you?"

He hadn't seen her since being an apprentice, and it was nice to see a familiar face. "Echoflight? It's nice to meet you," he purred, jotting the name down in memory. It seemed like Echoflight knew everyone that walked into the den! He was a little jealous, and definitely motivated by it. A day would definitely come when he knew all these faces as well. "Is it always so busy in here?" |

''Hey!'' She said happily, giving a tail wave to Moonfur, in a reply to her greeting and than as everyone talked, she gave a smile to Jackalfrosts question but said nothing more. It was great everyone was getting to know one another.
