Martenpaw slunk out of the apprentice's den, his head hung low and eyes drawn to his paws moving across the pebbled ground. His short pelt fluffed against the cold. Why are you even outside? It's like the end of the day! he thought. The ginger tabby frowned and willed his thoughts away. Amber eyes flitted upwards to glance at where he was going, and he jumped back in fright - a kitten was there. He flattened his ears and made to move away, hoping she didn't notice him. Ha! Yeah, right, anybody would notice you if you got scared so bad like that. |
