It was a rather uneventful day in the town filled with human animal hybrids. Yes, hybrids had taken over the Earth by storm and started new countries and tribes of them. Literally fish, plants, and animals were fused into human DNA to make new superhumans, which lead to a whole new species of life. Olive was one of those hybrids that could fly, saying she was half eagle. She has had hard times flying due to size issues, but she still managed.
Olive was visiting a local movie theater to see the new chick flick so she could make a huge rant on it. As she left, she mumbled to herself, her huge brown wings folded and ruffled. She didn't notice that she had shoved someone while she was in her line of thought.

Pix flicked a knife open in her hand, before closing the useful tool kit. She had paws, of course, as per being a fox hybrid. She also had the bushy tail of red and black like a fox, so she was good at balancing herself.
She had exited from seeing an awesome movie, fox ears twitching on her head, and Pix's slightly protruding face resembling a muzzle was sticky. She was looking at the other movie there, which held... A chick flick.
The fox wanted to get out both her knife and her claws in order to scratch the sign. That was horrible. Why did people-?
Someone pushed past Pix, from the side her tail wasn't waving to, so she stumbled a little bit before turning and yelling, "Watch where you are GOING!"
[hahahahahahaha.]

(I'msosorryIhadto)
Leo was a bit of a.. disrespected or underestimated hybrid sometimes. He was a turtle hybrid from a line of such hybrids from the experiments that were done with various reptile DNA, and fusing it with human DNA and such. There was such potentials with reptile DNA, who knew what could become of such fearsome hybrids that could possibly have strong venom, attacking mechanisms, exc.? Only, he was from the line of turtle hybrids, which were exactly that, without any other combined DNA of perhaps other reptiles and such. The line was supposed to be a simple test, for a turtle hybrid wasn't the most shining example of the desired superhuman. But, it had been successful, and there was a small line of turtle hybrids, though the first ones had been weakened with... defects, being some of the first full reptile experiments.
It was amazing there was a line of them at all. But there was, and though he didn't know any others personally, Leo had been taken care of by ones not of his species when he was young, named (I wonder who he was named after xD), and was now independently surviving. His line wasn't known for spectacular fighting capabilities, with the possible exception of snapping turtles, though all were of course very tough. He was a red-eared slider turtle hybrid, so wasn't threatening the way a snapping turtle or some other more aggressive turtle hybrid might be. He had a more human build somewhat, having longer, slimmer legs to stand on properly, though he still had a shell at back and reptilian green skin, including a protective plastron at front. He had fingers, though also claws at fingertips. He didn't despise what he was sometimes, though. Oh no, he was proud of what he was, and was accepting of it.
While he didn't have many skills, he used what he had to his advantage when he needed to, though other then some warrior instincts that sometimes came into play when needed, he wasn't that aggressive of an individual. He didn't really need to be, since there seemed to be a peaceful settling of life at this time among the hybrids. He still had to do what he had to in order to survive, though. Get work, provide for himself, it was all a constant burden, though slowly he worked his way up to having at least a lifestyle that he could survive in well enough. His strategic mind, and slight workaholic state, as well as perfectionistic view in completing his goals certainly helped with that.
Since Leo had no personal attachment, it made things easier in a way, though also made him emotionally colder and distant as he completed any duties he needed to in order to survive with perfect precision always. It was all a constant cycle of survival to him, though complications seemed to happen always. One day, an uneventful day in his life, Leo was going towards the place where he dwelled occasionally, his eyes narrowed as he navigated his way through the streets in an experienced manner. One had to be careful when navigating through so many hybrids, for certain collisions could undoubtedly be.. painful. He knew this from experience.
The turtle was just beginning to pass by a movie theater, where a crowd seemed to be coming from because the movies must have been over. He paused to let the crowd thin out a bit, and glanced at the movie showings. There was some sort of chick flik he immediately ignored without a second glance, and then some sort of other movie, that looked more promising. He would perhaps enjoy seeing the more action based or perhaps martial arts films... but there wasn't time or need for such guileless entertainment and pleasures. They didn't matter to him or at least, he strictly told himself so. As he waited for the right time to not be caught in the main swell of the crowd, he began to walk past.
But, it seemed as he was just starting to walk on the sidewalk of the street, there seemed to be a small disturbance ahead of him, which was confirmed with an angry shout. It was the sort of encounter he always tried to avoid, but a slight curiosity and amusement caused him to glance at the source of the disturbance. It seemed like two females had made a small collision. It was no concern of his, but he had to get past them, anyway, or at least go by. He kept walking steadily, keeping his gaze on them, or any other approaching beings. He didn't like the look of the two females that stood out to him anyway. A small tingling instinct at the back of his mind was a reminder that they were more predator like hybrids. He paused, however, when they were in front of him, then spoke out in a quiet but firm tone, slightly curious of a reaction. "Excuse me, please."
(I'm so sorry about the length. Also, if I went against any of the ideas or concepts of this world, I can alter my post if needed.)

[.... Oh yeah, I'm also Ashkit, just so you guys know. I just need this account to have more posts. The loner boards are, well, lonely. Maybe I could have Shadow join a clan.]
Pix was almost about to lash out, with her claws out from her paws, before she heard a quiet voice from her left. She turned, confused, towards the voice and was about to give him a praising for saying excuse me when she saw what kind of hybrid he was.
One of the turtle lines. Bred excessively by scientists, almost an offshoot of a rumor that popped up early internet. Her ears flattened against her head an huffed. "What do you want?" Pix asked, narrowing her brown eyes.
[again. I'm Ashkit. Also, wow finch. Wow ]

Olive growled at the fox hybrid, ready to lash out her talon-like nails. Her huge wings spread out to create a menacing look to her, along with her short white hair concealed under her black lightning jacket.
She was ready to defend herself when she heard a soft voice, the fox seemed to notice too. Olive turned to see a little turtle hybrid, a rather unfortunate animal to be fused with. But then again, she grew up surrounded by more threatening hybrids, like wolves and bunnies (don't ask). "Ya gotta wait, kid, until then, enjoy some action." She growled, turning back to Pix

(Ah, okay Ashkit. And w-what? o: I just like turtles... and hybrid stuffs... -sweats- Anyway, he's just named after such character/and might have similar personality/. Since taking care of a little turtle hybrid like that and all might provoke a name like that... xD Also, can't I please ask about the threatening bunny? o: )
Leo realized that this might become a full on brawl by the actions of the two females, and he had interfered with such procedure. He had not desire to, really, though had been a bit curious. He was still calm about the situation, though, despite the small nervous instincts provoked by the two females, though it could be overlooked easily. He tilted his head when the fox hybrid seemed to react to him in a very hostile way. He felt threatened, but wasn't very surprised by this behavior, since he often would get treated in such a way. It was merely a predictable issue to rise in the course of survival. Of course, one had to be careful, and not just identify it as a mere small predictable trouble with no weight to it. Every sort of this situations could be dangerous, or get more dangerous then mere scorn and that sort of reaction, depending on the hybrids.
He peered at the fox hybrid when she spoke in a threatening way, though his gaze was more calculating, yet he kept his distance. "Exactly what I said." Leo spoke, his head tilted in a way to suggest a sort of confusion that was not there. "There problem with this?" He then looked at the eagle hybrid, examining her too, though his wide eyes didn't betray this. "And is there any need for this disturbance?" He asked in a way to perhaps gain more information about the situation, but didn't want to be provocative, either. Though these kinds of street fights, the petty ones that could often broke out, disgusted some part of him. There was no honor any such fights, though these brawlers of course wouldn't have any sense of that foreign concept, probably.
He noticed that the eagle hybrid seemed to be more concentrated on the fox then him, which was a bit of a good thing, he could slip away and into the crowd easily now. The turtle hybrid indeed backed up more of a distance, but did not leave yet. His gaze stayed on the two figures, in a slightly curious way, though strategically it was a bad decision. He should leave, slip back in the routine of his life and let these petty fights resolve themselves, and that was simple. It was a small aspect of the cycle of surviving, not to get involved in fights that were not his own, and avoid conflict when it was needed. Yet, he still had the guilty want of wanting to observe for a bit anyway. There was some strategic advantage to it. When surviving, and finding methods to do so, sometimes he assigned or hired to do certain tasks. Often ones that were simple, not violent. After all, he wasn't known for fighting capabilities, or at least, his breed line wasn't. But, occasionally there were... some more violent, dishonorable tasks, the ones that had served to take away his innocence, or what little he had of it before.
Slowly, he gained in defensive and offensive ability, ways he had to learn to defend himself more efficiently, and his perfectionist side and instinctive need to survive caused him to want to improve further, though he was hardly experienced in any sort of ability. So, he could study these kinds of hybrids, a quick and short observing process, then slip away to a more favorable position. The turtle watched for a short time, showing no sign of interference, his countenance was neutral, and he wanted to keep it that way. There was no honor at all in this situation, but the thing that he used to value closely and even fanatically wasn't in his actions either, and while that hurt deeply, the living situations he was in demanded abandoning of such concepts.

Pix huffed, tail waving in the air in a snappish method, ears still flattened against her head, but her eyes were now back to their normal lidded state. She turned to Olive, and almost winced in the revealance of her large brown wings and jacket good pulled over her head.
This was not a small bird that she usually could play around with, using her sharp claws. This was a situation that could get ugly. The fox hybrid stepped back, trying not to hiss at Olive.
"Maybe you should watch where you are going," She seemed to purr, "also, weren't you heading from the side where most of the theater was showing that gross chick flick?" Her ear flicked in that direction, and it was clear that the Fox was a little nervous, seen by her slight shaking. Her slightly red hair was trailing down her back, shaking as well.
(Pix realizes she got in a bad situation. She tries to then fox her way out of it. Also yeah, mutant ninja turtles. Call me Pix out of character too, it you don't mind.)

Olive huffed, making a smirk as Pix backed away. It wasn't that Olive was an aggressive type, she honestly was pretty sweet and a dork. But when someone provokes her and her hobbies, get ready to be squished. She flapped her wings, trying to see if Pix was gonna fall for the trick were she acts like she's gonna attack from above. "Don't ya insult by ranting habits!" She yelled, flapping her huge wings again, hovering a bit from the ground.
Olive noticed that the turtle kid was still there, at least she had a witness if Pix ended up breaking one of Olives wings. She gave a quick little smile before going back to the argument.
(Let's just say a bunny hybrid she met beat the living daylights out of her X3)

(Ah, okay, no problem Pix! And okay, understood, Palepaw. o: Also, you can skip my turns if there's nothing for my character to do, since he's just a calculating observer for now. x3 )
Leo watched further, carefully noting the actions of each female, and he noticed every detail as he watched. His eyes were narrowed slightly, though he noticed the actions of the fox hybrid the most, and how she started to react about the situation. Most fascinating, but her sly actions seemed to not be so successful so far, when the eagle hybrid started to hover. If it was an attacking maneuver, it wasn't a good one though, for there should be no pauses, no hesitation if it was going to be a properly efficient procedure. Already disgusted by his thoughts about a fight between two females, he started to change his mind, and backed away further from the situation. He still remained, though, not so much for good reason, though it would not be good to remain much longer for curiosity's sake, and unwise.

Pix pulled out her knife, unsheathing it from the kit, and let her brown eyes gaze at Olive, before it registered to Pix what exactly the eagle hybrid had said. Eager to get out of this situation, Pix again tried to get through with talking.
"You rant on movies?" The fox hybrid asked, letting her ears stand up again, watching Oliva's movements to see if she swooped. "That is an interesting hobby." Pix's red tail twitched slightly behind her. Bet that she can pay for them! Pix was sweating slightly more, and her tail was twitching at a furious rate.
