 Hazelclaw Hazelclaw he looked at the surrounding area, thinking deeply. He did a confused frown as she spoke, "Mad? Why would I be..." Hazelclaw looked at her, then his eyes widened at her fear. "Hate?..." he asked much more quietly, What did she do?.. he thought.
Almost sadness clouded his eyes, "Are.. you scared of me?.. Am I scary?" he asked, Maybe she's.. just scared from the chase?..

Pinyondapple's eyes widened as he spoke. NO! she wanted to wail desperately. I'm not a-afraid of YOU! But her throat had closed up. She tried to speak, though only a ragged squeak was heard that cut off abruptly when she ducked her head. "N-n-no-no-n-n-no!" she stuttered wildly, squeezing her eyes shut, not able to face Hazelclaw's reaction. She was such a fool. She was messing everything up. It was all her fault. Everything was. It just was. "I-I-I don't w-w-w-wan-want t-to los-se y-y-you!" she hiccupped, lowering her head to the ground and holding her paws against her eyes. "I-I c-c-can-can't be a-a-alo-alone a-ag-again!"

Hazelclaw Hazelclaw calmed down, at least knowing she wasn't scared of him. He gave a deep sigh and faced her, "You'll not lose me, for as long as I live. And to be alone, you cant be." Hazelclaw pressed his muzzle softly against her head, then retracted back to place his head on his paws, hoping she'd calm down a bit.

Pinyondapple slowly twitched her eyes open, almost expecting those words to be lies. But even she knew, amidst the fear, it was not so. She appeared to calm down when his muzzle rested against her head, and pouted when he pulled away. Slowly, she set her chin next to his paws, her nose grazing his cheek. She still needed comfort. Still, her heart raced, pounding loudly and risking her life just from the amount of anxiety she was facing.
But softly, she whispered--barely heard. "I-I believe you." And then tried to curl up closer to him, not quite ready to go back to camp. At least, not for a few more moments.
{ how much longer should we continue this? should we end it soon and have another thread after it, or perhaps wait or something? whatever you want to do I'm okay with ^-^ }

Hazelclaw Hazelclaw smiled as he saw her calming down. He let out more purring, getting louder. He felt butterflies in his stomach as he thought for a bit, and then let out a deep sigh. "Good, I'm glad you believe me," he said softly. He then closed his eyes, "Pinyon?"
He whispered, "I love you.."

Her ears perked up as he spoke her name. And then... she imagined him saying something he obviously didn't say.
Because there was no way in CloudClan brave, amazing Hazelclaw was in loved with shy, scared and weak Pinyondapple.
Slowly, she let out the breath she had been holding, certain she misheard him. But then she noticed his expression. 'He... he did say it....'
"You... love me?" her voice whispered, without the stutter, in utter shock. "Me? B-but I'm... I'm just...."
'For once, c-can I just be brave enough t-to say it?' she pleaded to her inner coward. She felt her anxiety rising as she built herself up to speak. Because, believe it or not, she did feel brave enough to say it.
And for once, she wasn't afraid he would turn her down. Probably stemming off the fact he said it first....
"I love you, too...." she murmured, though her fear at least wouldn't allow Pinyon to meet his gaze.

Hazelclaw Hazelclaw looked at her, then looked away with his head up. I just.. had to say that, didn't I?.. He heard her and put his head back down slowly, trying to stay quiet. The large tom sighed, and then heard her, and blushed rapidly. "I..." he paused. But then smiled and tried to look at her, "I didn't know you felt the same." His smile faded into a more.. embarrassed look.

Pinyondapple quickly began to shuffle her paws, blush absolutely smothering her face. "I-I didn't k-k-know you felt t-that wa-way either...." she said, a few of her stutters coming from her embarrassment rather than fear. Because for once, she didn't feel terrified. Extremely embarrassed to the point that everything was starting to go black, sure. But she wasn't afraid.

Pinyo blinked a few times, before she glanced around warily. She gave a slow nod. "I-I'd like to head b-back.... she admitted, and then carefully rose onto her paws. She wanted him to lead, though. Pinyondapple doubted she could make the trip back by relying on her memory, in the chaos her mind had created since disappearing in the first place.
