SilentpawDuskrise had a new apprentice assigned to him. Silentpaw! He didn't know anything about her, so this would be a bit of learning for the both of them. The sun hadn't exactly risen quite yet, but then again it was Leaf-bare. The sun was lazy in Leaf-bare. He made his way over to the apprentice's den and poked his head in. " Silentpaw..!" He gently called out. " It's time for training....!"

Miatu found it rather strange to be sleeping in a new den already. Especially without her sister. She'd only just found her again, but because she was younger, they had to be seperate. Stretching her jaws wide in a silent yawn, the newly named apprentice got to her paws and stretched, kinking her tail over her back. A voice sounded in her ears, and her head whipped to the entrance to note her new mentor retreating. Swipe her tongue in a few quick licks of her shoulder, she weaved her way to the entrance and slipped out of the den and into main camp. She quickly approached Duskrise before bowing her head in greeting, not uttering a sound, thanks to her inability to do so.

Duskrise smiled at Silentpaw.
"You should grab something to eat before me go! We have a lot of walking to do!" He suggested. "I'll wait by the entrance for whenever you're ready." True to his word, he padded over the exit leading out to the territory and sat down, patiently.

Flickering her ears, Miatu offered the slightest, most tentative of nods, before bounding over to the fresh kill pile. Twitching her tail tip, she grabbed a mouse and took it away to eat. She crouched down and gulped it down in tentitively but hurried bites, keeping a careful eye around camp. She hadn't heard the voice for a while, and for some reason she felt he'd suddenly appear behind her. Swallowing her final mouthful, she got to her paws and trotted back to her mentor, giving him an awkward nod to signal she was ready to leave.

Duskrise waited patiently with a small smile on his face.
Though, he appeared thoughtful as he saw that Silentpaw seemed... Rather wary. She kept moving her gaze around, as if she was looking out for someone. Huh. He wondered what was up with that. Regardless, when she finished eating she came to Duskrise and nodded at him, though it seemed a tad off. He simply smiled at her.
"Let's go, then." He set a manageable pace, walking out of camp and heading towards the Fireclan border.

The young apprentice paused to cast a hesitant glance over her shoulder before sidling closer to her mentor and following along at his shoulder toward the camp entrance. Her paws stopped half in and half out, hesitation clear in her who body. She glanced above her head, and all around her as though she'd never seen the outside world. Noticing her mentor had got further ahead, she shook her head to clear it and bounded forward to catch up, wondering briefly where they were going. Maybe another clan border?
(Short. Sorry)

((It's alright!))
Duskrise cast a quick glance after a short while to make sure Silentpaw was keeping up.
He saw her keeping up well, bounding towards him. He offered up a smile, before he returned his gaze to in front of him. As his pawsteps took him closer and closer to the Fireclan border, the ground became more level and it began getting grassy. He found his paws were beginning to meet the softer soil as opposed to the hard rock of the mountains. He wondered how Silentpaw would take it. He stopped, right before the Fireclan border, waiting for his apprentice to join him.

Miatu padded easily alongside the warrior, still wary. As he cast he a gentle smile, she tried her best to force her muscles and nerves to relax as equal. Yet her fur still prickled along her spine and she had the urge to put the fighting moves her gang had taught her to use. Though she continued to pad cautiously along at her mentor's side, taking special note of the way rock turned to soft soil, and then continued on to the shortest stretch of grass, before the scent line hit her like a wave, causing her fur to prickle with unease. So this was another clan? Her claws unsheathed and dug into the ground as she took a step back to stand by Duskrise's flank rather than his shoulder, and she glanced warily of over the invisible scent line before averting her gaze.

As they made their way over, Duskrise noticed Silentpaw seemed rather tense.
He wondered if he should bring it up, but ultimately decided against it. She might feel as if it were an interrogation rather than genuine concern from her mentor. At the very least, she seemed extremely capable, easily keeping pace with him.
When Silentpaw had joined him at the border, he smiled at her. She seemed unnerved, her claws had slid out, and she had moved back a short distance. "This is the border Iceclan shares with Fireclan. Fireclan lives on the prairie and they are known for being fast runners."

Miatu nodded thoughtfully, trying to be quizzical rather than tense and paranoid. She already knew she wasn't a fast runner, having been born on the other side of the mountian in a neutral teritory. She therefore had medium length thick fur, and didn't like the idea of a grassy more muspch as little cover and no cool atmosphere around her would be quite an adjustment. She hated not being fast enough to keep up with the rabbits, though her tact always meant she could catch them. She creep up, Spring over them as they went to run, and they'd land right in her paws as they wouldn't have the time or distance to try to turn away. Or think to do so. Now she sheathed her claws, the watching sensation fading, though it was still clearly there. She peered over the border through almost a new set of eyes, and blinked slowly, before taking in their scent carefully and passing it over her scent glands.

Duskrise personally was generally accepting of someone's strengths and weaknesses.
After all, no cat was perfect. That's why he loved living in a clan. A way for cats to cover each other's weak points, after all. It was beautiful in his eyes. Although, he supposed he found beauty in most things.
He smiled at Silentpaw. "Are you ready to move on?"

Miatu almost jumped as the warrior spoke, but she managed to respond only with a slight blink as she glanced up and nodded assuredly. Her gaze scanned over the border once more before she turned away to follow her mentor. She wondered briefly where they were going next. This place, this territory, was so much bigger than she'd ever imagined. Her gangs' territory had been small and enclosed, though they'd been able to hunt almost freely. Well, if you considered hunting and surviving a fight with another cat or group hunting freely, then yes. Here, you hunt in your own territory, and get in trouble with both your clan and the other if you hunt elsewhere. What a strange concept. Why do each clan care so much where they get there prey from? And who catches it. In her old home, anyone who was capable of hunting and fighting would do so, even if they were still a kit, or well into being an elder. There was no medicine cat, the sick were cast out or had to heal themselves from what they could find. You were not judged if you left it even to twolegs in order to be healed of sickness of injury. If you were cast out injured, you were able to rejoin healthy and healed. There was no room for weakness, however. And every cat hunted for themselves, and mother and father for their litter. Of course you may have willingly hunted for others, but it was not a necessity as it was here.

Duskrise's smiled seemed to brighten.
Then, without missing a beat, he began to make tracks for the Treeclan border. This one, he was slightly more familiar with. Sweet memories of a race with another apprentice washed over him as his paws began to hit territory that was a bit more infested with vegetation than there was near the Fireclan border. He stopped before the Treeclan border, looking into the trees.
He wondered if his friend was still there. He hoped so. In a bout of wishful thinking, he thought maybe he'd see her now. He sighed wistfully. He looked next to him to see if Silentpaw had joined him yet.

Miatu noticed briefly that her mentor smiled and seemingly brightened before her eyes. And so, she did the same.
Her paws moved in a tracking pace steadily after the Tom as she weaved her way along the border. Wariness still pricked at her pelt like staring gazing watching her every move, and she ached to seek out their source. However, she was feeling a little more optimistic now as she padded carefully after Duskrise, paws moving in a stready rhythm until she pulled up alongside him at the next border in time to hear a wistful sigh escape him. He seemingly gazed wistfully toward Treeclan territory, and she wondered briefly if he had friends or kin there. Shuffling closer, she brushed her fur slightly against his and met his gaze gently. She knew how hard it was to be separated from those you wanted to be around. Whether they be of relation or not. She blinked curiously up at him, but made no move to judge his possible attachment to another cat from across the border. After all, in her mind, she still liver elsewhere, and so borders daunted her little.

Duskrise was extremely happy to see that Silentpaw had brightened as well.
As he stood before Treeclan, he heard some shuffling next to him. He assumed it to be his apprentice. He was mildly surprised to see her lightly brush her fur against his. Though, after the initial surprise wore off, it was replaced with a small smile filled with warmth that far outweighed the wide smiles he gave most everyone else.
She blinked upwards at him. He looked back over towards the trees. "This is the border Iceclan shares with Treeclan." He announced. "They're known for their tree climbing." He explained.
