(If you don't know what this is about, go read the stickied thread. It has lots of info~)
Spiderstar had just gotten a report from the dawn patrol that made his skin crawl. Recently Iceclan had suffered an avalanche, something he was sad about, but also paranoid over. Tragedies in one Clan only brought violence and hostility in others. He had imagined wars, flooding, prey loss, border crossings. But not this. The black tabby-tom stepped out of his den and trotted over to the tree that held his High Branch. He had ordered Arrowstrike to make sure nobody left camp for the time being, and that anyone out of camp be found and brought back by tough warriors.
"Treeclan, gather!" He yowled, scrambling up the oak and over to his seat. His tail tip flickered anxiously, angrily. He had imagined a lot of things going wrong from the avalanche, but he hadn't actually considered this. And, of course, this had the capability of being far worse than an invasion from Rockclan. He watched as cats gathered below, but would not speak until enough cats were around to spread the news and his orders on. This was not a simple ceremony that half the Clan could be unaware of, this had the potential of a life of death scenario for everyone in the Clan.
Alright, this is an OOC section. Sign-ups are starting in a bit, and will be located as a separate post in the ANNOUNCEMENT thread, which is stickied and should not be hard to find. When those open it will NOT be a first-come-first-serve scenario. I will carefully look at applications for this plot because some spots in it require people who are going to be active and reliable. Sign ups will end on Wednesday the 30th, 5 PM EST. You have a few days to decide if you want to enter, or figure out if you'll be active for the next week and a half. After applications close I should have my final choices out by the end of that day, or at the very latest early Thursday.
Alright, have fun. Don't flood the thread with random RP. But have fun and join in!

Paleheart's ears pricked up as he heard the leaders call. Was this another ceremony? He shrugged to himself and walked over to the gathering crowd. He saw the leader looking somewhat distressed and he grew concerned. He sat down and listened for Spiderstar to continue.

Beechroot exited the warrior's den with sleepy eyes. He needed to go on the day patrol soon. The tabby stretched and made his way over to the High Branch. Something about how Spiderstar was standing there made his pelt twitch. He sat near Paleheart and wondered what the call was about.

Tinywhisker felt herself frown as she slithered out from inside of the warriors' den. Shaking out her ginger striped fur, Tinywhisker eyed Spiderstar with a strangely concentrated look. Making an odd huffing sound, the slightly small senior warrior bounced her way to underneath the rock and bent her head down to briefly lick at her pelt. Spiderstar had this look of both oddly placed fury, and something that Tinywhisker thought was paranoia.
All together, Tinywhisker thought it was an odd expression. For a moment, the she-cat paused and stared up at Spiderstar with a strange look. Was something going on?
Anyways, Spiderstar almost looked like he was constipated. Well, that's what Tinywhisker thought.

Foxstrike could tell something was wrong the moment that he heard Spiderstar make his way up to the high branch. Even from his position below Foxstrike felt the leader practically brimming with anxiety, displaying behavior only a cat that was nervous would display. The warrior pricked his ears, confused, intrigued, and concerned. There was urgency in Spiderstar's voice, prompting Foxstrike to stand and draw closer to the assembling crowd, as much as he despised being in the center of large groups.
His clouded eyes remained staring blankly ahead, but he angled his ears in Spiderstar's direction, remaining silent and focusing in on the leader's movements and words. He had a sinking feeling that whatever he said next would be important for the future of TreeClan.

Spottedpaw had just finished some chores when he heard his leader's beckon. He popped out of the Elders' Den and watched as Spiderstar scrambled up the tree and sat on the branch. In the distance he saw his mentor, Foxstrike, sit down near the gathering cats. Spottedpaw shook some moss off his pelt and then trotted over to the ginger tabby-tom. "Do you think things are gonna be alright? Spiderstar seems off.." He asked his mentor quietly, looking around at the gathering warriors. Hopefully the Clan wasn't in any danger.

Mistkit heard the call and was admittedly curious.
She wandered into the clearing and sat down. She looked up at Spiderstar, to pay attention to his next words. Roughly three seconds later, her eyes began to wander to the sky, forgetting her original intentions.

Moon took a seat, hearing Spiderstar's call to gather.
He waited for things to progress.

Thornfall heard Spiderst's call to gather and took a seat nervously in the clearing.
She made sure she was generally away from everyone else. She tried to make herself look small as she tried to force herself to focus on Spiderstar and whatever he might say.

Vixenleap yawned as she walked towards the crowd of cats, her eyes blinking away her tiredness. She hissed to herself as she sat down a good distance from the other cats. This better be good, it was usually later in the day for ceremonies.

Spiderstar watched as more and more cats appeared, mostly warriors and apprentices. Good, most kits didn't need to hear this type of news. Once he thought enough had gathered, he cleared his throat. "Cats of Treeclan, as I'm sure many of you are aware there has recently been a horrific avalanche in the mountains of Iceclan. Fortunately, for a while that is, we were unaffected by this. However I have just been informed that along out border with Iceclan, two-legs have set up odd dens. The exact amount of two-legs is unknown, but dogs were spotted with them. If I had to guess, I'd say they have gathered at the border due to the avalanche, but I doubt even Cloudclan knows why." He said, tensing as he thought about the two-legs. He was fully aware of the dangers two-legs brought, especially when they brought their bloody dogs with them.
He waited a moment for raised voices and mumbles of worry to die down before raising his muzzle again. "From this day on, until the two-legs and their dogs leave us, nobody is to go near the Iceclan border. I will not risk having any one of you hurt by them or their dogs. Patrols that go near that area will only be made up of warriors and either myself and Arrowstrike to see if the two-legs move farther into our territory." He knew that the Iceclan border often had good prey, especially squirrels, but he couldn't risk anyone getting hurt...or worse.
The only thing he wasn't concerned about were Iceclanners themselves. They wouldn't risk travelling down that border to invade him for prey or land, and so he wouldn't bother worrying about keeping the border fresh.

Thornfall shifted uncomfortably.
She'd never seen a dog before... But from what she heard they were pretty scary! She wasn't going to even try to go near the Iceclan border. In fact, she felt as if it were in her best interests to stick to the opposite side of the territory. She wanted to realistically stay as far as she could from those twolegs and their dogs as possible. She shivered.

Mothflight sat down and listened to the news. Dogs oh no. The she-cat looked at her paws uncomfortably. Mothflight had never met a dog before

Vixenleap didn't respond to the fact about twolegs, they were probably staying for a day or two. It was the dog comment that made her jump, the she-cat remembered dogs from her days as a loner. They were not friendly creatures. Vixenleap shifted quickly over towards her daughter, Thornfall, and glared up at the leader with narrowed eyes.

Foxstrike frowned when Spottedpaw approached and asked him about Spiderstar. "...no," he admitted after a while. "He's too anxious. Whatever this is, it won't be good." There there had only been a few times that Foxstrike ever hoped he was wrong, but this was one of them. He couldn't help but feel his stomach churn when he found that he wasn't.
Two-legs and dogs- both creatures that Foxstrike had never encountered himself, but heard rumors and stories about. Both were large, though two-legs were much larger and rather peculiar, if what Foxstrike heard was true. In any case, they were dangerous- incredibly so. He narrowed his eyes, steeling himself for the future and what was to come.
