Hailspirit confidently trotted over to the apprentices' den. She had taken the path many times, so she didn't have to be too careful about her surroundings. Approaching the den, she stood outside and called in. "Icypaw, time for training! I'll be waiting out here whenever you're ready." She backed up and sat down, continuing to smell the air for her apprentice's scent. Hopefully she wouldn't mind having a blind mentor.

IcyPaw, stood blinking rapidly as her name
was called. Excitement pulsed through her.
Giving her cramped mussels a good stretch
followed by a very unladylike yawn. Padding
out side she spotted the pretty feline from
the night before. "Hailspirit?" she questioned
seeing she had only met the she-cat twice she
didn't know to much about her. Beaming she asked
"What are the plans for today?" she gave a little bounce.

Hailspirit purred at the sound of Icypaw's pawsteps. "Good morning!" She chirped, pausing before answering her question. She hadn't really thought about the plan. "We'll go check out the borders, then practice hunting or battle if there's time." She stood up, beginning to head off for the exit. "Are you excited?"

"Morning" she smiled, listening to the plans
of the day she smiled seemed to grow even
wider. "That sounds wonderful" when asked
the silly seeming question she squeaked a bit
louder than needed "AM I" she gave another
skip, but paused as she gave her mentor a full
on look. Whats up with her eyes? she didn't
comment but she thought it had something to
do with the illness that makes light, darkness or something?

Hailspirit laughed at her apprentice's excitement. She waved her tail in the air, making sure Icypaw could still see her in case she went too fast. She sniffed around every few seconds, wanting to avoid running straight into something.
Soon enough the air began smelling more like dirt and prairie grass. She lowered her head, stopping when the scent markers were right under her nose. She turned to Icypaw. "This is FireClan. They like to run and catch rabbits, and they're very fast. Their leader is Darkstar. Any questions?"

Chasing after HailSpirit, Icy was glowing with joy.
Being her first time out everything seemed to be
more and more exciting. She noticed the tail ahead
bobbing up and down as her mentor bounded ahead.
With a smile she thought of making a game out of
the tail then realized that would be a very kit like
thing to do. Still in persuite she stopped with a huff.
As HailSpirit began to explain what the strange terrain
held. "FireClan?" she smiled as the information was passed
to her. "I don't see any trees just this yellow stuff...
Do they not climb trees? and where are all the rocks?"
the flat prarie left little the the felines imagination.

"Well, if there's no trees then I don't think they can climb them." She joked, trying to keep her head in Icypaw's general direction. "They're really good runners, and they have all of that open space to do so. I think that trees and rocks would just get in their way." Hailspirit shrugged. "Get a good sniff. We're going to TreeClan next!"

She still wide eyed felt embarassed she noticed
the slip she had, had with information. She smiled
it was made a joke, and not an you a pebble brain
insult. "runners? are they scaredy cats?" she asked
though her wording not at best she hadn't meant anything
by it. "I mean if they can't climb, just run wouldn't they
always just I don't know run away???" Taking a bit sniff
as ordered she snorted, gross. Turning away from the strange
land she followed in suit of her mentor.

Hailspirit shook her head. "Well, in my opinion they are. Though I wouldn't go calling the first one you see a scaredy-cat." She laughed lightly, slowing up as they reached a slope. She perked her ears when she reached the bottom, trying to listen for Icypaw's paws.
Soon they approached TreeClan. She stopped, feeling the ground beneath her paws change. "This is TreeClan. They like to jump from tree to tree, and their prey is pretty similar to ours. Their leader is Spiderstar. Any questions?"

"Probably isn't the best way to meet some one"
she agreed with amusement. Following in step, she
noticed the change in sernary. "Wow," she smiled
as the vast amounts of green foliage spread ahead.
She tilted her head as more info was presented. Okay
so they aren't like the whimps of fireclan, more like
us in fact. "Do you think they are as strong as us?"
she looked up at the ginger and white feline. Whom
seemed to not be looking directly a Icy... she let it slide
then tilted her head "Oh umm do they hunt like we do
regardless of the same prey?"

"Do you think they are as strong as us?" "No, I don't think so. We have to leap over rocks and dig caves; I think that takes more strength than jumping through trees." Then again, she'd never seen a TreeClanner, so she couldn't really compare their structures.
Hailspirit tipped her head to the side at the question. "No idea. Maybe you could ask one at a gathering." She turned, beginning to head off. She didn't tell Icypaw that they were leaving, since she was only going a few badger-lengths. She climbed up a few boulders, giving her legs a stretch once she reached the top. "Look up at the sky. Can you see mountains ahead?"

She nodded okay, so were stronger? She smiled
"I just might do that." Purring she flicked her
tail and took in the scent not as gross as Fireclans
but still not to fond of it her self she turned to
follow HailSpirit whom was scampering up some
boulders. Panting but making it to the top, her legs
still a bit short, thanks to her kitten frame haning
on. She obayed and nodded and realzied nodding
would be pointless. "I do" she answered.

"That's where IceClan lives. Or, did live. They had an avalanche, and now they're staying somewhere in the loner territories, I'm pretty sure. They'll be back soon." She paused, letting Icypaw take it in. "They live in the cold and hunt fish. They're good at climbing, and their leader is Robinstar. Questions?"

Her eyes wide they lived much like they did,
however the thought of an avalanch scent a
chill down her spine. "Are they alright? I
mean did anyone get hurt?" though she didn't
know any Iceclanner nor even what one would
look like she had a soft heart on that didn't like
the thought of anyones pain. "Oh and whats a Fish?"
she gave a puzzled expression.

Hailspirit frowned. She was worried about the IceClanners too, though didn't know any details on how they were holding up. "I don't know. Hopefully not." That was the second time she said she didn't know something. She hoped that Icypaw didn't think of her as stupid. "A fish is a slimy thing with scales. They live in the river and kind of taste weird."
