Ariel stared at her. "Why did you let it go!" She questioned. "You could have caught it!" The brown and white tabby growled softly. 

Her tail twitched. Why did she let it go. Is she scared of killing a mouse?

[Rune]

Rune cringed "I... It was a pregnant mouse." Her ears drooped "I couldn't kill a child, of any animal, born or unborn." She lowered her head.

She remembered the first time she went outside, and found a mouse nest full of babies in a bush. She saw how helpless they were, how scared, how trapped. Rune had looked at them and saw herself, and until then she had a policy to not kill any child of any animal, everything deserved to live a full life.

"I'm sorry, I'm a wimp, I know. You can have that mouse to yourself."

[Jane]

Ariel looked at Rune. She sighed. "Oh." The brown and white tabby meowed. "Your not a wimp. You can still have the half of the mouse." Ariel meowed.

She began to split the moss in half before tossing one half over to Rune.
