Ivystem was up at the crack of dawn. She didn't like getting up early, though wanted to see if Tigerpaw would obey her orders or not. She had told him to be up early, and expected him to do so. She sat by the camp exit, eyes fixed on the apprentices' den. 'I'm going back to bed if he's not out soon.'

Tigerpaw

    Tigerpaw woke up earlier than he used to in the nursery, but it seemed weird being in a completely new den. I needed to wake up... he thought, then ran outside, hoping he wasn't late. After spotting his mentor, his heart slowed down a bit, then he quickly trotted over. "G-good morning," he said forcefully before yawning. I need to be more energetic today.

Ivystem flicked her tail in reply to his greeting. She stood up and turned, beginning to head out of the entrance. She walked rather fast, and expected Tigerpaw to keep up. Her speedwalking was part of his training, even if he didn't realize it. Soon they reached a small cliff. She leaped, landing on some sharp, small rocks at the bottom. Ivystem kept trekking on. They would visit the TreeClan border first.

Tigerpaw

    Tigerpaw's pleasant happy face melted into a rather astonished face as she left immediately. He got level on his feet before carefully speeding to try to catch up. Huffing as he was more confused than tired, he watched as she leaped off a cliff that he thought was huge, until he saw it. He jumped down and fought the urge to yelp as stones poked his paw pads. Before continuing he licked each paw briefly.

Ivystem bounded ahead, seeing that they were close. She slowed to a trot as she approached the border. "This is TreeClan. They leap from tree to tree, and their leader is Spiderstar." She turned her gaze to Tigerpaw, waiting to see if he had any questions.

    Tigerpaw had a bright expression, following his mentor. When they stopped he gave her his full attention. After she finished, he nodded, wiggling his nose at the totally different scent.

Ivystem sighed and began padding on. Eventually they reached the FireClan border. She pointed her tail toward the plains. "That's FireClan. They like to run, and their leader is Darkstar. She eats cats."

    Tigerpaw followed again, and stopped, frowning. It's so.. open. The tabby blinked a few times and looked at his mentor in disbelief, but noticed nothing that seemed like a joke.

Ivystem noticed Tigerpaw's expression. "What, you think I'm lying? Go ahead and find out for yourself. I'm sure you'd enjoy that." Her voice was mixed with a hiss, and she marched off for the next border.

    Tigerpaw then frowned, "No, It just doesn't sound normal." The tabby was upset on how his mentor was angry at him, Geez.. The tabby followed, relaxing his emotion.

She ignored him, coming to a sudden halt once they reached the top of a hill. She pointed toward the mountains. "IceClan usually lives there. Their leader is Robinstar. They catch fish and snow hares." She then suddenly marched off. "Moving on, would you like to learn hunting or battle first?"

    Tigerpaw followed to the hill and stared at the mountains, Geez.. I thought we had a lot of rocks. he thought. The tabby nodded and barely noticed she left, and he quickly followed. "Um... I guess hunting first."

Ivystem halted and turned around. 'Hunting. Let's see what he does.' "Fine. Go out and catch something. I'll be here." She took a seat and waited for Tigerpaw to leave.

    Tigerpaw blinked, "Well.. I haven't learned how to do much hunting yet, aren't you going to show me the crouch, or maybe tell me about the different prey?" he asked quietly, but he turned around the other direction.
