Jude was out for a swim, desperate to wash off the smell of the barn. He still couldn't get used to it, even after going there almost everyday. It was disgusting.

He swam around for a bit, standing once he reached the shallows. His fur was dripping onto his face and he couldn't really see, though he could tell there was someone else nearby. Shaking his fur like a dog, he padded to shore and sniffed the air. "Hello?"

Sketch was sitting by a large-ish river. He had been considering going for a drink from the water, but the sight of another cat there was putting him off. Yes, the two were both from Deathclan, however, this other cat was larger and stronger looking- Sketch didn't know if he was hostile.

He watched the tabby like a hawk, hoping he'd leave so that the dark grey cat could get a drink without feeling like he could possibly get his throat clawed out. However, he realised that this would not happen as when the other cat sniffed the air and scented him.

"Hello." Sketch called out, walking out of the shadows and showing himself.

Jude blinked, focusing on the cat that had stepped out. He hadn't seen him before. 'Must be new.' He glanced at the river, then back at the cat, realizing that he was probably waiting for it. "Sorry about that. I'm done if you need to get a drink or anything." He said, padding over to a sunny spot not too far away. It was evident that he wasn't too threatened by the cat.

The tabby took a seat in the sun, watching the river as he waited for his fur to dry.

Sketch nodded, offering a small smile, "Thanks," He purred. The grey tom felt a lot safer now, knowing that Jude wasn't hostile and rather a friendly cat- to him anyway. He walked towards the river and began to lap up the water, grinning at the feeling of it on his dry tongue.

Once he was finished, Sketch looked up and spoke again, deciding to introduce himself to this stranger, "I'm Sketch." He meowed quietly, wiping some excess water from his muzzle with a long-furred paw.

"No problem." Jude replied, starting to groom his fur. Letting it dry while it was tangled was the worst. He looked over at Sketch again, wondering how long he'd been here. 'I hope it hasn't been long, or else I just haven't noticed him.'

He shot him a smile when he introduced himself. "I'm Jude. Nice to meet you."

Sketch wrapped his fluffy tail around his paws, replying, "It's nice to meet you too," He spoke calmly, moving a little further away from the river and closer to Jude. He didn't want to appear rude by speaking to someone from a distance.

"So, you been in Deathclan long?" He asked, trying to start a conversation.

Jude gave his fur one more shake before turning to face Sketch. He shrugged at the question. "Kind of. Not really. At least, it doesn't seem like it's been a long time." He still thought it was weird to be considered an adult. "What about you?" He perked his ears in interest.

Sketch nodded as he listened intently to what Jude had to say in response to the question. He flattened his ears a little when he was asked the same in return, feeling like he might seem vulnerable for being a new member of the rogue clan. "I've only just joined, actually. I thought it was about time to move away from my parents so I did."

Jude nodded in response, happy that he had guessed correctly. "I bet your parents are going to miss you." He wondered what background Sketch came from. Probably not kittypet. He looked too tough for that.

"Probably," Sketch replied, "But they said that they didn't want to hold me back in anyway." He purred, adding in some more detail for comedic purposes, "My dad always said he didn't want me to be a weak mama's boy."

Jude chuckled. "Really? Are they trying to toughen you up?" He looked a little confused when Sketch spoke again. 'I don't see what's weak about that.' "You seem pretty strong to me."

"I think, they just don't want any of their family to be defenseless." He replied, a little confused about hid parents ways.

"Thanks!" He grinned at Jude's last comment, "I try to look as strong as possible. It helps give off better good impressions as I've experienced."

"I can understand that." He continued with a laugh. "Has it? Good for you." He stood up and walked closer. "Are you enjoying DeathClan?"

Sketch smiled, also letting out a laugh as he didn't want to appear as someone with no sense of humour.

"My experience with Deathclan?" He asked rhetorically, "Well I've not been murdered so I'm guessing it's been pretty good."

"That's good to hear." DeathClan was actually a lot better than the name implied. 'Though you kind of have to live here to figure that out.' "Have you made a den yet?"
