Ghost yawned as he walked around in the plains. He had been getting a little lonely since his last meeting with Ginger, and when Shatter came up in conversation, all Ghost wanted to do was go and see his best friend again. So, that's why he was walking around the plains in search of the young torbie rogue.

Ghost's yellow eyes scanned the area when they landed on a familiar pelt. It looked a lot like Shatter's. The young adult walked a little closer to the other cat before realising it was in fact the cat he was looking for.

"Shatter!" He called out, running over.

Shatter had disappeared for awhile and now the young calico tabby had returned. All she wanted was to see her best friend Ghost again. 'I have not seen him for moons' Shatter thought before sighing and looking for a place to hunt. But then her yellow eyes fixed on a black tom cat. 'Could it be.' A smile spread across Shatter's face as she bounded over to great him. "Ghost! It's been so long since I've seen you."

[Ghost]

Ghost laughed a little bit as he nuzzled Shatter's shoulder, a loud purr erupting from his throat. "It's been too long," He smiled, face still buried in her shoulder, "I missed you... It's been moons!"

Ghost was genuinely surprised that Shatter still lived round these parts. After all, the black tom had only been fourteen moons old when the two first met, now he was eighteen moons. He thought rogues and loners moved around a lot- then again, he was only a housecat, so most things he had been told could've have only about one specific cat and not all non-clanners as a whole.

Shatter let out a purr. The calico tabby was quite happy to finally see her best friend again after a couple of long moons. "I've missed you two." Shatter murmured. "I never want to disappear again." The calico tabby meowed before trying to remember even why she had disappeared. 'I forgot' She thought before smiling at Ghost.

"So how have you been doing? Did anything exciting happen while I was gone?" Shatter asked, ears pricking up to hear the black tom's response.

[Ghost]

"I never want yu to disappear again, either," Ghost replied, stepping back from Shatter so he could sit down and look her in the face, "Ever." He smiled, blinking his yellow eyes.

The young tom then shook his head, replying, "I've not been doing much recently," He continued, "I've just met up with Ginger a few times and this other cat who's name I can't remember." He stopped, "That's about it."

The black cat then began to speak again, "Why'd you disappear?" He asked, "Where'd you go?"

Shatter looked at him with her yellow eyes. "I'll try not to." She meowed before smiling. The calico tabby did not want to leave again. She wanted to stay here and see her friend and hunt the prey on the plains. "Who's Ginger?" Shatter asked.

The calico tabby stayed silent before speaking again. "Umm.." Shatter started before looking at her paws. "I don't really know, I kinda forgot but I'm not thinking of disappearing ever again. I'd never want to leave this place for good."

[Ghost]

Ghost responded with a small smile apparent on his face, "Oh, she's another housecat who lives near me," He purred.

"Good," He grinned, "I want you to stay here with me forever." He blinked again, wrapping his grey tipped tail around his paws.

Shatter smiled. "She's probably a nice cat." The calico tabby commented before licking a paw and drewing it between her ears. Shatter then thought of something they could do. 

"So would you like to go on a hunt with me? We don't have to if you don't want to." The calico tabby asked him, head tilting from one side to another.

(It's fine, mines a bit shorter than usual too)

Ghost nodded silently in response.

"Yeah sure," He purred, liking the idea of going for a hunt. It was probably a little weird of him to think that considering he was a kittypet, but he enjoyed hunting and had been taught how to do so by his father. "Where are we going? Any prey hotpots round these parts?"

Shatter thought for a second.

"I know a good spot, it's where I hunt usually. There's plenty of rabbits when it's Greenleaf." The calico tabby told him before flicking her tail tip towards the direction of the place. "Follow me" Shatter meowed before padding towards the hunting spot, hoping that Ghost was behind her.

[Ghost]

Ghost grinned, "Great," He purred, lifting himself from his sitting position and into a standing one. "Lead the way." He spoke, beginning to walk slowly behind Shatter as she began to walk in the direction of the hunting spit. He couldn't wait to go catch some rabbits. He'd bring one home for Jackie... He thought she'd enjoy that.

Once Shatter had arrived at the hunting spot, the calico tabby sniffed around for rabbit scent. She hoped that they would catch one or more of the fast creatures. Shatter froze when she caught rabbit scent.

The calico tabby's yellow gaze locked on a rabbit nibbling on some grass. 'That would make a good meal' Shatter thought before licking her lips. "Let's try to catch that rabbit over there together." Shatter whispered not wanting to scare off the rabbit.

Ghost nodded without sound and crouched down. He presumed that they were going to be catching the rabbit the way that they had done last time the two went hunting together, so the black and grey feline waited silently for Shatter to chase the rabbit into his paws. He unsheathed his short black claws.

Doing this brought back so many good memories.

Shatter stalked the rabbit a bit. Soon the calico tabby she-at began to chase it wanting to lead it towards Ghost so the black tom could trap it in his claws. The rabbit fled, running for its life. The calico tabby chased it towards Ghost, hoping the black tom will give the killing bite.

Ghost smirked when Shatter chased the rabbit. He found it rather amusing how little skill rabbits had at defending themselves.

He put a serious face back on though when he saw the smaller animal run towards him, getting closer. As soon as it was close enough, Ghost lifted his upper body into the air and slammed his claws into the rabbit, quickly sinking his teeth into its soft, fleshy neck. It died instantly.
