New kit

[Softkit]

(This is to introduce ourselves and tell what you think you will be when you grow up)

Softkit opened her eyes. She could see the light flooding into the den but not much else. Curious, curious indeed. Softkit stood up and tried walking around... and immediately bonked her head. She lay there for a second, stunned.

"I cannot see. I am blind," Softkit thought with sadness.

Jaykit watched the little kit stumbling around with a glimmer of amusement. The little thing had stunned herself.

He got up and padded over to her. "Hi, I'm Jaykit. Who are you?" He asked, bending down to help the other kitten up.

[Softkit]

Softkit heard a voice from across the room. When this voice asked who she was, she felt a little bit more comfortable. Softkit, with the help of this mysterious cat of whom she decided the voice belonged to a cat, stood and faced the voice. Opening her eyes wide even though all she could really "see" is the light, Softkit said," I am Softkit. Why do they call you Jaykit?" Softkit tried to look curious. " When you cannot see, it is hard to make a face when you've never seen it so you just have to try your best," Softkit thought. Then she realized how she messed up. "Ugh. He was probably called Jaykit for his pelt color. Lets just hope he doesn't notice," thought Softkit.

Jaykit smiled at the kit and tipped his head. She had made him very curious.

"I don't know why I'm called Jaykit. I don't have wings. My pelt is dark grey, with pale grey flecks. It is fluffy, and I have greeny-blue eyes." He blinked. "Can you see me?" He asked, wondering if she was blind.

"Why are you called Softkit? Are you really soft?" He reached out a paw and patted her white fur, a purr of amusement esaping his mouth.

Softkit scolded herself for revealing her lack of sight accidently. Surprisingly, she trusted this kit even though they had just met to keep her secret.
" I am blind. Could you not tell anyone? I don't think it is time. Not yet anyways." Softkit waited anxiously for an answer.

Stormykit heard noises at the far corner of the nursery. She thought," Can't a kit sleep without being interrupted by stupid games!" When Stormykit opened her eyes though, she was surprised for 2 kits, 1 small, fluffy white she-cat and 1 dark grey with lighter grey flecks tom,huddled in the corner talking in hushed tones. So serious. Stormykit was on her feet now. She had to find out what important gossip I being spread. Stormykit thought with s grin,"Maybe  I could sneak outside of the nursery or find a hiding hole and listen in. I MUST NOT GET CAUGHT!!!" Looking around first, Stormykit snuck out of her nest.

(I'm sorry it took so long to reply. I wonder where Jaykit is now. He hasn't been online for a while.)
Softkit felt like someone was watching her. She whirled around to get a wall of fur in her face. It smelled like her mother Autumndust. She suspected that she was her sister. Hoping the other kit wouldn't notice, she inched away slowly so that she was beside  Jaykit or near Jaykit anyways.

First I'd like to direct you towards our RULES to have a quick read, just to make sure you're familiar with the expectations of the site. Here you've posted on a thread from last year. We like to keep our members posting on threads younger that one months, so please try to avoid the older innactive threads.

To change your name, first click on the PROFILE button up the top of the screen. Then click EDIT PROFILE -> PERSONAL and you'll see a white box labelled 'Display name'. All you have to do is replace your current name with the name you want (Finchkit, Birdkit, ect) then press save down the bottom and you'll be good to go!

We have four clans to offer you, all of which are currently open.
You'll have to begin as a kit, and choose yourself a mother. Since I'm from Fireclan I'll show you how to join there, but it is the same for every clan, so you can use the same method no matter where you decide to join. If you wish to join Iceclan, Treeclan or Rockclan, you can find the threads I'm about to show you in the NURSERY board.

You'll want to pick a mother for yourself first, which you can do HERE. Have a look at the three mothers available and pick whichever you like, then post with the code at the bottom and you'll be added. Next just post in the ACTIVITY CHECK to show that you are active, and you'll be good to go! This is the same with all the clans, just have a look in their Nursery's for the mother thread.
