Lightning kit sat pondering life and death and, yeah right. Too young to even imagine most stuff like that, Lightningkit was walking around in circles instead. She looked up as she heard another cat and smile. "Why hello." she said with a smile.

"H-Hi Lightningkit." Foxkit stuttered. He ricked his ruffled chest fur and jumped down to sit next to the beautiful she-cat.

Lightning kit smiled. She had always had a small crush on this cat she had seen across the clearing once or twice, but she never admitted it, not even to herself. She had also spoken to him ever now and then, but had never really actually spoken to him. It was a wonder he even knew her name. "Foxkit" she nodded, speaking as she would to any cat, "How have you been doing since our last run in?"

"Iv'e been doing fine" He answered calmly not making eye contact. "It sure is a shame that our old territory was destroyed by that avalanche." Foxkit said awkwardly trying to make a conversation.

Lightningkit giggled. "That was before I was born, bit I agree, it is a shame." she responded. "So, how do you like the snow? I can't say I see what all the fuss about it being too cold is about."

Lightningkit shook her head. "If you were born and had always lived there you would." she said, noticing Foxkit hadn't looked at her really. "Whats wrong?" she asked with a sigh.

"It-its nothing just.." Foxkit said embarrassed. 'Think! Think! I can't tell her that I have a crush on her!' He thought frantically. He noticed that she was staring at him. "It's nothing i'm fine." He said smiling at her as he lifted his gaze to met her's.

Lightningkit spdidnt believe him at all, but left him alone. She though for a moment before speaking ubruptly. "Have you ever seen a chicken?" she asked.

A chicken? What's that?" He questioned tilling his head. Suddenly he realized that she was laughing. Foxkit's face flushed with embarrassment until he started to laugh as well.
