"Stop pretending like you know everything! For your information, fighting has helped me more than words ever have. I can control others actions if they know not to mess with me, at least then they can only mock me behind my back." Willowpaw hissed. Brightpaw was utterly self-absorbed, pretentious, and spoiled. Her Utopian, fairy-tale view of the world didn't work, violence is necessary in real life.
Willowpaw's claws unsheathed, and she scoured them against the ground to help control their anger. "I know what I'm doing! I'm not going to kill any cat! I could've killed Mudpaw, and I could've killed Aloepaw, but I didn't! I'm only fighting because I have to, not because I want to, and not because I'm a killer." In the moment, she had desperately wanted to kill them, but she'd restrained herself. Willowpaw was not out of control, she was defending her life.
"I am making things better! Just because how I'm doing it doesn't fit your idea of a good world, doesn't mean I'm not doing anything." Willowpaw was practically shaking.
"I don't want any cat to give me everything, I just want something! You aren't giving me anything, you're only willing to help me if I do everything the way you want." She snapped. Brightpaw disgusted her, she wished the she-cat had never been born. All she did was whine and hold others up to impossibly high standards.
(( whelp ;A; at least brightpaw's character arc is going smoothly, i guess. here's to no friends and no redemption.))

Brightpaw growled. "Well. It's clear you're not listening. Why did I ever try in the first place? Oh, yeah. I thought you might actually listen! I thought you were better than Almondfire and Aloepaw, but you're just as not willing to listen as they are!" It was a low blow, but she didn't particularly care. She was highly irritated with Willowpaw's stubbornness.
She looked her sister straight in the eyes, unimpressed with her tactics to even slightly curb her anger. The silvery apprentice's anger at this point was explosive, and she imagined it wasn't too far from being unleashed on Brightpaw.
"You have to? Like you don't have a choice? You always had a choice, you just always took the easy way out." Her voice was sharp and accusing. She felt no need to pull any punches.
Her tail lashed. "You're not making anything better." She narrowed her eyes. "And, pray tell... Is my idea of a good world?" She scoffed. "You make too many assumptions."
She snarled loudly. "Excuse me?! You realize our relationships was in tattered pieces from the start, right?! We started to try and fix it, but then you attacked my friend! I care that he hurt you and that's not okay, but you didn't have to attack him in the first! The simple fact was that he was my friend before we even started to try to get anywhere! What did you expect to happen?! I'd immediately turn on my friend because you were hurt?! I didn't want to see either of you wounded! But instead, you're doing what I used to do, and pushing everyone out! You don't believe you have any chance at making any meaningful relationships, and because of that you won't even try! How do you expect anything to change if you don't try?!" She was almost screaming at this point.
((....... Well..... Yeah. But it kind of hurts that willow can't see bright. because she's not self-absorbed. she cares a LOT. honestly, if anything is going to kill her it's her kindness.))

Willowpaw rolled her eyes, a bitter look crossing her face. "Why don't you go cry over the death of a bug?" If Brightpaw wanted to be petty, then Willowpaw had plenty of shots to fire back.
"You expect me to sit and take insults and mockery because it makes you happy. There is no easy way out for me to take, that's what you did. You ran away from your problems, you hid in the territory because you didn't want to face your scary siblings. I stayed and fought, when there was no one I had supporting me!"
Willowpaw growled. "You want every cat to cater to how you feel. No cat is allowed to defend themselves, because, oh no, someone might get their feelings hurt! Well, I've already been hurt, so now what? The only thing you think is acceptable is to run away from the bad thing, and that doesn't work! I'm not a coward!"
She hissed, her tail lashing back and forth. "You didn't have to take sides! Neither Mudpaw nor I told you that you had to be angry with me or him. It was a messy situation! He admitted that he was terrible to me and that he deserved to be attacked! I knew that attacking him like that wasn't right! You could have agreed with both of us, and seen that I didn't want to hurt anyone, but I couldn't keep being bullied by cats! You could have acknowledged that as a kit, Mudpaw sided with Aloepaw and contributed to mocking me! Did you call him out on that? No, I'm sure you didn't! I bet if Mudpaw had won the fight, you wouldn't be mad at him, because he's your friend, and you're so scared of losing your only friend that you'll excuse anything he does!"
((i mean.. she definitely cares about mudpaw.))

((asdfghjkl; im very surprised willow hasnt attacked bright yet
Brightpaw's ears folded back. "Uh huh. I suppose Aloepaw told you about that one, huh?" She snarked. She wasn't going to take this fox-dung from her own sister. At this point she was tempted to spend time with Almondfire rather than stay here screaming at Willowpaw.
.... Yep. Her sister thought she the most selfish cat to grace the Earth. Her expression darkened. She didn't say a thing. Did Willowpaw know? Her sleepless nights in the nursery. When she was a terrified kitten, who couldn't even stand to share the nest with her cruel siblings? How she'd been so relieved when they became apprentices and she could put some distance between them so she could sleep? Hah. For all Willowpaw screamed about being misunderstood... She was a real hypocrite.
Brightpaw's angry expression was schooled into a stony mask, with the icy fire in her eyes the only remaining indicator of her sheer anger at the false assumptions that the silvery apprentice kept spewing in her anger.
She grit her teeth. She doubted she'd be angry at Mudpaw if he'd won the fight, but she'd be angry in general probably. That the fight had to happen in the first place. Willowpaw didn't understand the importance of loyalty in Brightpaw's heart.
"Oh, I'm sorry that I didn't want to yell at my friend who was still bleeding who didn't even want to talk about being hurt." Her tail lashed behind her. "You know, you say one thing... But your actions are screaming another."
"What the Hell is it that you want?! Because I can't tell anymore. Do you want to not hurt anyone? Or do you want to tear down everything that ever attacked you?! Because I'm getting some really mixed signals here!"

((okay she WOuld, but Oceanstar's here now and cracking down on fights so she doesn't wanna get exiled, and she's in a bad state physically, and she doesn't wanna fight she wants support cause brightpaw SHOUld understand her considering their similar life experiences, but she honestly might end up attacking, considering how this is going.))
"Living in fear isn't the strong thing to do. I slept in a den with them every night, while you hid! I was alone, you coward! I had to learn to defend myself, or they would've killed me. I did what I had to, fighting became how I survived, it was the only way I could feel safe, feel like I was worth anything. Then you have the nerve to tell me that I should've just let them hurt me, I should have been like you. Do you think words would have stopped them from hurting me?" Willowpaw continued her argument, furious that Brightpaw suggested she should meekly let herself be bullied while Brightpaw lived out a cozy life in the territory.
If Brightpaw was going to hold her up to a double standard, then Willowpaw would be crazy not to do the same. "I was bleeding when you sent me away, when you threatened me for defending myself, how is that any different? Oh wait, I'm not your friend. Once again, you're just proving that you only care about your friends." Willowpaw rolled her eyes. Brightpaw thought that she was so great, so high and mighty, the epitome of kindness. Well, she wasn't.
"I want you to admit that you were wrong! Admit that fighting doesn't make me into some kind of monster, admit that you only care about doing the right thing when it doesn't apply to you or Mudpaw!"

((This is a very stressful thread ohjeez. Oh. Yeah. That. That makes sense. But yeah uhh... Bright is... Kind of weird. She does honestly believe the stuff she says and does her best to be that person because she doesn't want to be the person she KNOWS she'd be without those beliefs. She's actually got a vaguely violent temper. ALSO COZY? SHE was literally practically sleeping in the freaking snow in an adder-infested area)) Brightpaw grit her teeth. "I never said you should let them hurt you." She growled softly. She shook her head and looked at Willowpaw straight in the eyes. "And I never said you should be like me." 'Being me is a nightmare.' She bit her lip.She did her best to be kind and better than the violence she saw around her. The reality was that she wasn't that way. She knew her own thoughts. She actually wanted to tear up Willowpaw's ears right now, but that wasn't what she should do. Her restraint has a tight leash she kept on herself. She'd stopped fighting because fighting didn't seem to do anything. It was only giving into Almondfire and Aloepaw. If you fought them and they won, then it was only more material for them to torment you with. She grit her teeth and turned around. "You don't know me at all." She snarled softly and she began walking away.((Im tired

((yeah i see where brightpaw's coming from but.. like willow is so completely traumatized and she hates how bright has at least had mud, and is expecting willow to take the higher road when like?? no one loves her and she's so sad, she literally cant emotionally or physically do anything more than fight. and.. yeah willow doesn't know what it was like for bright in the territory, but she knows that there was less almond, and she had mud for emotional support so she could heal, which willow never got a chance to do..))
"I shouldn't let them hurt me, but I can't fight them, because that makes me as bad as them. Right? Then what am I supposed to do, Brightpaw? I'm not a coward like you, I'm not just going to run away." Willowpaw sneered.
She watched Brightpaw through narrowed eyes. It looked as if Brightpaw were just going to avoid her problems again by leaving, and take the weak, pathetic way out. "I'd rather be like you. Even though you're delusional, at least not everyone hates you. It looks like your flawed ideologies are even bring you peace." Or at least, more peace than Willowpaw had ever felt.
"Fine, just give up, leave. It's what you do best. Don't try to defend yourself, or try to prove me wrong, just leave." How could Brightpaw be so selfish? It was infuriating, how much her sister acted like her life was so hard, and Willowpaw was just being whiny.

((Yikes... I feel really bad for Bright. Uhm... Actually Bright in the timeline i don't think saw Mudpaw that often, jeez. She spends most of her time alone.))
Brightpaw wasn't looking at Willowpaw as she walking away, her expression darkened. Delusional? Tch. Maybe. She had some more thinking to do. A lot... More thinking to do actually. She needed to know who she could be realistically. She tried to be nice, but maybe...
Maybe she needed to express herself in a different way.
She didn't care what Willowpaw thought of her. That's what she told herself. Her sister didn't know what she was talking about, she didn't understand how Brightpaw's mind operated.
((.... End I guess since Bright walked away?))
