Shiningflame nodded. She liked the idea of flower crowns and got to work, picking out some pastel Flowers's with long stems that she thought would go together. When she had got enough she sat, placing them gently on the floor and waiting for Foxpaw.

Foxpaw noticed his companion going to gather flowers, and decided he himself should gather some too. He stood up and walked over to some tulips and lilies. He eagerly picked them up, leaving some in the ground so they could grow more flowers, and leapt back to Shiningflame. He set the flowers down gently.

""Ok, how will this work..." she asked herself, trying to intertwine the stems of two flowers first.

Foxpaw calmly watched the warrior try to tie the flower together. He looked down at his own pile and began to the stems of the flowers with pretty easy results. He glanced at Shiningflame, and asked. "... You need help?"

fox attack!
defend your territory from the new threat
The fox had been driven farther into the prairie as winter continued, the snow becoming thicker and heavier on the ground. The small pond, not yet frozen and still attracting prey, had incited the young male to journey closer. As he bent his head for a drink, a warm scent reached his nose. Two young cats, creatures which smelled delicious to the starving creature. He raised his head, beady eyes bright with anger and desperation. With nose twitching, the small male began scouting the area, circling around the edge of the pond to find Shiningmoon and Foxpaw

Shiningflame took a moment to place the scent that hit her nose. Fox. She scanned the clearing as she jumped to her feet, the flowers forgotten. She located it along the edge of the pond and wasn't sure how in the world to act around a fox. She glanced at Foxpaq before returning her gaze to the fox. "Foxpaw we have a little problem." she said.

Foxpaw lifted his head at Shiningflame's comment, narrowing his eyes. "What, you tore the-..." He flinched up at the fox scent. He spotted the creature. "Well, I guess we do. Ironic how the fox shows up near the dude named Foxpaw." He commented before standing up and looking dead in the she-cat's eyes.
"Okay, we need to go get backup, we're gonna need all the help we can. But if that mongrel finds us, get ready to fight and possibly lose a limb."

fox attack!
defend your territory from the new threat
The movement of the two cats was what alerted the scrawny fox. It's jaws parted and it let out a happy baying sound before lunging. It's long legs ate up the ground; even though it was hungry, there was still lean muscle rippling beneath its pelt. As it neared, the fox instinctively went for the smaller cat first. He lunged at Foxpaw with an open mouth, trying to bite down on the tom's shoulder.

Shiningflame took the chance of being momentarily ignored by the fox to pounce herself and try to land on it.

Foxpaw paused, and froze as the fox pounced at him. He felt a sharp pain on his shoulder, but ignored it. He used his other paws to try and slash the fox in the eyes. At least he wasn't alone here, since he didn't have much fighting experence and training.

fox attack!
defend your territory from the new threat
The fox snarled as Foxpaw's claws raked near its eye. It reared, back, releasing the apprentice from its jaws. As it moved, Shiningflame landed on its shoulder. The creature spun wildly, trying to dislodge her, jaws snapping in her direction as it tried to get a grip on the hanging she-cat. It was already hungry and driven half mad. It wouldn't take much more to chase the creature away.

Shiningflame kept her grip as long as she could before she was flung off. Hard. She landed near the water and quickly rolled over off her belly, hoping to be able to push herself up before the fox got to her.

Foxpaw staggered up to his paws, limping on his front leg. He took a few deep breaths and watched as Shiningflame was flung to the side. His brown eyes narrowed and he ran, slower than usual due to his shoulder, and tried to tackle the fox with all that he could.

fox attack!
defend your territory from the new threat
The fox snarled aimed for the grey cat he had flung, desperation in his eyes. Before he could reach the female the other cat was on his shoulder. He let out a bark of pain and shook himself free. With a last reproachful glance at the two cats he backed away, then turned and fled away from the pond. He would try the pond again later possibly, or move on. - You are free to report this incident to Oceanstar if your characters think it appropriate. The fox may still be in Fireclan territory -

Shiningflame watched as the fox left, her eyes slightly narrowed though her pupils were dialated from the fear and adrinaline what was expected when attacked by a fox. Now that the threat was gone, Shiningflame took her time getting up. She had been flung across the clearing and landed hard, mainly on her right fore paw, and sure enough, that's where it hurt. Standing up, she made sure not to put pressure on the paw and made her way over to Foxpaw. She could deal with her own pain on her own, but Foxpaw had also been hurt. "You ok?" she asked, worry creasing her brow as she gazed at his front leg.
