Foxpaw was alone yet again. He hadn't talked to anyone in a long time and he really didn't want to start again, he didn't know how to start again. He merely stared at his reflection in the pond, trying to smile.
A noise broke him from this action, he stared blankly at the newcomer. He didn't speak, he raised his tail in greeting.

Shiningflame was walking to the blossom pond. She liked how peaceful it was there, an was disappointe to find that there was another cat there. She smiled anyway, as this other cat looked sad. "Are you ok?" she asked the other cat. She sat down beside him and looked at his reflection to gouge out some sort of reation. She didn't like it when other cats were sad, and she tended to try to sooth them, even though it was pointless ussually. "I'm Shiningflame."

Foxpaw stared blankly at the stranger, and nodded. "Yes, I'm okay." He murmured, scooting to the side. He felt uncomfortable. "Shiningflame? Huh. May I ask why you are here?"

Shiningflame noticed this other cat's uncomfortableness and smiled warmly. "I coming to think, honestly. I link this place and it's peacefull." she responded. "Now might I ask what your name is if you don't mind?"

Foxpaw stared blankly at the she-cat, twitching his ears. "Thinking? I guess all cats have their reasons. It's peaceful alright. As for my name, the almighty Foxpaw." He said sarcastically, rolling his eyes at himself. He began to stare at his reflection, sadness plagued his mind.

Shiningflame tilted her head, rememering just the other day when she and her sister had met. "You have the same name as my sister. That's gonna end up mighty confusing." she responed, ignoring Foxpaw's tone. Then she notiiced the sadness in his reflection. "What's wrong?"

Foxpaw snorted. "Well, there's a couple more 'Fox' cats here. But yeah, mighty confusing." He blinked, his negative emotions only growing deeper at the mention of a sister. "And I'm not sad, I'm usually like this now." He didn't really know how to explain it.

Shiningflame bit her lip and made herself not flinch back. She didn't like it when other cats were sad or in pain. Even if she didn't know them. When she learned they were it tended to make her sad or in pain too. "Then you're ussually sad?" she asked in a small voice. She was still ignoring the sarcasm, but she did notice the more intense negitivity about sisters. "Did something happen to one of your sister?" she pondered aloud.

The tom lowered his ears. "Yep, but I've... Grown used to it. I've had too much time to myself to think, maybe that's why." He narrowed his eyes at Shiningflame at her next question, but reluctantly answered.
"My family hates me. I'm pretty darn sure of it. Everyone I've ever met besides my best friend hates me, and that friend is gone." He rambled, stared at the she-cat, and looked away.
"Sorry if I ranted too much."

"No one grows used to sadness. Sadness is like... Well... A cat hunting prey for fun. If the prey stopped running, if the prey stopped relising it was under attack when the cat pounced, what fun would that be. Sadness won't allow you to grow used to it. I've tried." she declared with a small, instotanious, frown. "And your family doesn't hate you I'm sure. Who are your parents?" she asked.

"Maybe I'm different... I feel sad, yet I feel nothing. The only thing I'm feeling that's not that is discomfort." Foxpaw stared at Shiningflame. He wasn't angry at her, it was just that she asked more questions than he was really comfortable with.
"Tell that to Hazelblaze. I give up my chance for my warrior name so she didn't have to be last one to become one, and she probably doesn't remember I exist. Parents? Birdheart and Thunderfox, but my father is gone, been gone since my birth."

Shiningflame shrugged. "Well then Birdheart is still here. Talk to her. An Hazelblaze still remembers you, even if you're just an apprentice, for whatever reason, you're still her brother. We don't always love family, but they're always a concern for better or worse." she responded. She knew she felt that way about family, and saw it in the eyes of even the worst cats, family was never forgotten. She shook her head and decided to drop the subject. "What do you like to do?"

Foxpaw didn't respond at first, he stared with a dull look at his reflection. He thought. What did he like to do..? He had never found a hobby, he had just been alone to his thoughts. Maybe he should go talk to his family... No. Not now.
"I never found anything to do with my time, I do like flowers a lot, though."

"Then we could see how many variations of flowers we can find. Or we could make a bouquet." Shiningflame suggested. She had never done either, but they sounded like fun.

Foxpaw nodded, his ears twitching. "Bouquet, probably. Maybe flower crowns." He liked the idea, flowers were always something that made his heart warm, even in the darkest of his days. He stood up, looking at the blossoms that surrounded the pond. His eyes lit up.
