Swanfrost
Willowpaw padded through Fireclan territory in the dead of night, shaky and on edge. She felt terrible, to the point where she would throw up, if only she had eaten. The silver she-cat's eyes were slits, her ears were flat, and claws unsheathed. Willowpaw walked as if there were an enemy at every turn, and there likely was. Every cat in Fireclan was her enemy. Brightp-wing, Aloepaw, Almondfire, Mudpaw.. They all hated her, and it was likely that everyone else did as well.
The apprentice found herself in the graveyard, and the solitude soothed her. Willowpaw felt as if she could breathe in the cold, dead, dark, it was as if she were designed by Cloudclan to live alone.
A scent hit her, and Willowpaw stopped, turning to see Swanfrost. It stung that the younger she-cat was already a warrior, and Willowpaw felt dread that Swanfrost would feel contempt for her because of it.
She dipped her head, trying to be as friendly and calm as possible. "H-Hey, Swanfrost. Congrats on your ceremony."

(I had actually made a thread, but I deleted it, so no biggie xD. Sorry for the awful post, I'm on mobile but I wanted to catch up on threads.)
Swanfrost couldn't sleep. She hadn't had much luck with that lately, and she wasn't sure why. Most nights she simple laid awake in her nest, but tonight she was feeling restless.
She padded silently towards the graveyard, eyes still bleary from sleep. Taking in a deep breath Swanfrost hesitated, catching the scent of Willowpaw. What was she doing up?
She approached her calmly, nodding back. "Thanks..." she trailed off, eyes narrowed. Something was off. "What are you doing up?" She questioned, curiosity evident in her tone.

There was no way in hell that Willowpaw was going to admit how she was feeling and why. Swanfrost would hate her for it, she would think Willowpaw was pitiful and weak for being so fragile, and Willowpaw would lose her friend. She felt sorry for dragging Swanfrost into this mess, perhaps it would be best to cut her off entirely.
"..I couldn't sleep." Willowpaw shrugged. That wasn't a lie, and it was easier to explain than the whole truth. "What about you?"

Swanfrost blinked, tail twitching. It wasn't hard to tell Willowpaw was holding back from her, and she decided to take a chance and confront her on it. "You know, the only way this whole 'friend' thing works is if we are completely honest." She raised a brow, though she didn't blame her. Swanfrost had a hard time taking that step too.
"I couldn't sleep either." She shrugged, sitting down slowly. She wrapped her tail neatly over her paws.

"Sorry." Willowpaw mumbled, still thinking about her confrontation with Brightwing the previous day. "There's a lot going on with me, I don't know where to start." Willowpaw really, really didn't want to lose her friendship with Swanfrost, and she knew that she had to be willing to do difficult things in order to keep it.
"I talked to my sister, Brightwing, yesterday, and it didn't go well."

Swanfrost decided not to mention that she and Brightwinf were friends. If Willowpaw and Brightwing weren't on good terms and they realized Swanfrost had befriended them both, she was scared both relationships would crash and burn.
"What happened?" She tilted her head, the sleep completely gone from her eyes.

"Well.. we talked." Willowpaw struggled to explain. Every confrontation she had with Brightwing ended badly, the two of them were different sides of the same coin. "At first we were just arguing over hunting, and then she made it personal." Brightwing always just assumed things for Willowpaw, she acted like she was some kind of mind-reader when she wasn't.

Swanfrost nodded slowly. She couldn't make assumptions about the situation with so little information, but she wasn't sure how to get it out of her either. "Do you guys fight like that often?" She questioned, but she already knew the answer.

"Well.. Whenever we talk, we fight." Willowpaw admitted, not meeting Swanfrost's gaze. She must sound absolutely pathetic, Swanfrost would reject her at any moment.

Swanfrost nodded. She had never been good at these kind of things... advice and all. She looked down at her paws in though, glancing back up. "That must suck." She sympathized. It wasn't much, but her voice held something so genuine, she didn't even know she had it in her.

"Yeah," Willowpaw breathed out, closing her eyes for a moment. "It really does." She thought about what she said to her sister, how terrible and awful it was. But Brightwing deserved it, and Willowpaw didn't regret it.
"I'm not a nice cat.." She mumbled.

"Neither am I." Swanfrost grinned, looking up at the moonlight. "I don't think anyone is." She mumbled absentmindedly, ears flattening against her head slowly.

"That's oddly comforting." Willowpaw commented, feeling like she wasn't alone for once. "But sometimes I feel as if that makes me completely unlikable, more so than other cats." It was nice to talk about her feelings, and it seemed that Swanfrost would rather listen than talk about herself.

Swanfrost licked her lips, eyebrows narrowed. "I like you, so that's not true." She stated firmly, some of her own self doubt there. If Willowpaw and her were both 'not nice', then did that mean it was hard for other cats to like her? Probably. "Anyway, who cares what the others think? They're all mousebrains anyway." She huffed.

Willowpaw shrugged, not bothering to explain how much she cared about other's opinions on her. "..I mean, listening to what other cats have to say can be useful." She said, glancing down at the ground for a moment. "And I certainly don't think being arrogant is very helpful either."
