Dogfang
Crystalbird sighed. Since that meeting where divisions had been drawn in the sand, so to speak, in Treeclan... She'd been feeling kind of... Well, crap. There wasn't really any other way to explain it. She was trying not to let it all get to her. She wanted to belong in Treeclan, even if she felt like she didn't sometimes...
Right now, she was perched up high in a tree. She sighed again, passively plucking an acorn and flinging it off the tree onto the ground below. She'd been doing this for a while, picking acorns and tossing them wherever.
It was harmless.
Probably.
Anyways, it was a mindless action. She hated having idle paws, so this was a great way for her not to get twitchy paws up in this tree. She was busy brooding. She was worried about where this conflict would lead Treeclan. Call her paranoid, but she was a little worried about Treeclan's neighbors. She knew enough to know Leaf-bare was a cruel mistress. If Treeclan was too busy fighting itself, who would defend the borders? Plus there was just the simple fact of Treeclan was going to be fighting itself at this rate. Friends and clanmates suddenly becoming enemies. That kind of betrayal never ended well for anyone.
Absentmindedly, she flicked another acorn off the tree... But then she froze.
There were noises of disapproval coming from down below.
Very vocal noises of disapproval coming from down below.
Schooling her expression into a disinterested neutral expression, she peered over the edge to see who she'd offended this time.

Dog hadn't been particularly bothered by anything that had happened at the clan meeting. He'd actually had fun. It was easy, considering he knew he was right and didn't care what any of the opposing cats thought. Besides, nothing would ever come of it. There would be a bit more arguing, perhaps some petty scuffles, and then everything would sort itself out. That was how things happened in a clan, the chain of command ensure chaos didn't reign forever. He'd be surprised if Yellowburr was around much longer, so he simply elected to ignore the issue.
The pointed tom was hunting, or his form of it anyway. He'd started with the intention to hunt but had quickly grown bored and was simply walking around the territory, considering. His thoughts were interrupted pretty quickly by a collision to his shoulder. It didn't hurt, but it took him by surprise. Dog let out a roar, an immediate challenge to whatever had fallen on him, whipping around. Nothing there, but a fresh scent. So he looked up, and there was the deputy who he did not know, perched in a tree with acorns. No fair, that was his thing. He wasn't petty enough to demand she 'come down' so they could settle their disputes, but instead bunched his legs and powered his way up towards her.
Face contorted in displeasure, Dog faced Crystalbird. "What in the hell have you got rattling around in your head? More acorns!?"

Crystalbird couldn't stop the litany of 'crapcrapcrapcrapcrap' rushing through her head like a train without brakes. Of course, none of this showed through her bored expression. The roar of anger had been... Somewhat alarming. Especially since she recognized the voice. Dogfang.
Crap.
The much older tom, who really was humongous, looked up at her, spotting Crystalbird in her perch. Then he started climbing, awfully fast and in a weird fashion. It was a powerful and stable method of climbing, as opposed to her own nimble and swift method... That honestly probably wouldn't let her cling to a tree if she took too fierce of a blow.
When he reached her, he immediately reached for insults. Her annoyance beginning to overcome her nervousness, she folded her ears back and narrowed her eyes. "Well, obviously not because that's not how cat biology works." She pointed out, going for the annoyingly logical route. "It's not like I was trying to hit people with acorns!" She paused for a few moments. "... Well, not this time anyways..." She wondered if Arrowstar held grudges briefly, before snapping her attention back to the present issue at hand.
The much larger tom who was staring her down, apparently not very happy with her.
Well.
It wasn't like this wasn't familiar.

The fact that it was the deputy he was blowing up at meant little to Dog. He'd done the exact same thing to Maplefrost and Koisplash before her. Come to think of it, they had both rather hated him. Funny that. No, Dog didn't respect or feat authority figures, not until they'd proven they were worth it. He'd served under far scarier than them, and had been a deputy himself, though not of a clan.
"Your intention is irrelevant," Dog pointed out with a hiss. "Why throw acorns about without wanting to hit something? That is careless and wasteful." Birds and squirrels ate those acorns and carried them away to regrow forests elsewhere. He was being dramatic and he'd killed his own fair share of acorns, but it was different when he was the one being hit. "Hiding from the funny rebels? Don't tell me they scared you, deputy?"

Crystalbird huffed. "I think my intentions are very relevant. Changes on whether it was accidental or not." She returned in kind. She stared at him. "What, you never do something meaningless?" She questioned. "Or has your every little twitch of the paw had historical significance?" Her voice took on a tone of disbelief, coming off as rather rude. This guy may be her senior in... Pretty much everything, but he was being rude so she had no inclination to be nice!
... Then again, she wasn't nice to nice cats either. She figured she was just the mouthy, disrespectful type and not much would change that. She was fairly sure Arrowstar didn't approve, treating her like some unruly teenager...! She was grown up darn it! The least she could hope for, was that Dogfang wouldn't treat her like a little kid. Though, she ha;f expected him to. Hmph.

Dog brushed off the explanation with a flick of his tail. "I don't care whether it was accidental or not, I care it happened. So, your intentions mean nothing." If she'd grovelled before him to apologize he still wouldn't have been impressed, but he would have perhaps not been so harsh. It didn't matter to him one lick what she had been thinking or doing, he was petty enough to be pissed off by it.
Dog smirked, baring his fangs. "Every crap I take is an act of worship to Cloudclan," he replied sardonically. "Every time I twitch an ear, it's actually a secret salute to my rogue allies." Crystalbird's words made sense of course, but he wasn't in the kind of mood to admit that or do anything about it. He was itching for a fight, though not the type Crystalbird could give him, he believed. Not with claws and blood. They were generally frowned upon, he'd learned.

Crystalbird kind of wanted to hit Dogfang. Really hard. In the face. However, apparently such behavior wasn't acceptable in the clans on any occasion. Well, aside from the occasion of war of course. And only if the recipient was of a different clan. Thus, she repressed the urge to kick this oversized tom, whose ego probably encompassed most of his meat, out of this tree with little care for repercussions. "Wow. Such understanding." She snarked.
She stared at him unimpressed. "... Sarcasm, not appreciated." She said flatly. "All I got out of that was that you'd be willing to send your crap as tribute to the dead ancestors of Treeclan, which sounds pretty disrespectful by the way." She sniffed. "Even I wouldn't do that." She paused. "Well, probably not." She amended. Then she made a face of disgust. ".... Also, your breath stinks. Is the crap coming out of where it's supposed to, or your mouth? Because from the way you're talking, I'm inclined to say it just all comes out through your mouth."
((as a side note i cant believe she took the conversation this way i mean i... i just... i feel like i've overestimated her maturity))
