WillowspiritCloudskip padded through the territory, wondering if Willowpaw had followed her. The deputy waited for her to show so she could explain how the assessment would go. She had done the procedure multiple times in the past, and she was confident in the apprentice.

Willowpaw emerged from the long grass, dipping her head. She was more than ready to be a warrior, and at this point, Willowpaw knew that she would pass her assessment with flying colors. The only thing she worried about was whether or not Oceanstar would be willing to make her a warrior. "What do you want me to do?" She asked, tipping her head.

Cloudskip shrugged, flicking her tail. "Okay, so you'll need to catch three pieces of prey, you can bury them. Then you can make your way towards the training clearing and we'll both spar. Simple as that." She both liked and hated her way of an assessment, but it was the way she was used to. "You can go now, if you don't have any questions, and good luck."

"Got it." Willowpaw mewed, nodding her head. Without another word, she scented the air, and began to pad off. Dandelion Hill always had plenty of prey, and even though it was still leaf-bare, the snow was beginning to melt, and finding three pieces of prey there would be tough, but not impossible.
Once she arrived at the hill, Willowpaw breathed in, calming herself. She was much better at fighting than hunting, and this would be the hard part of her assessment. Just get it over with, Willowpaw told herself.
She located a rabbit, gnawing at the ground, where presumably plants were starting to grow again. Willowpaw circled it until she the wind was blowing towards her, and dropped into a crouch, slowly stalking forwards.
When she was close enough, she wriggled her haunches and pounced, trapping the rabbit beneath her paws and biting down on it's neck.
