Swanbreeze Swanbreeze was seated on a rock just outside of the camp. She didn't feel right about the whole situation of the clan, and was more paranoid than usual. The black and white feline attempted to relax, as she turned to face her back toward the camp to avoid any unwanted attention. Maybe.. I should just leave? she thought, knowing how she had little to no friends or felines to talk to, leave alone felines as friends here.

It was quiet in the camp. It was odd, given all the chaos that had been going on recently, actually. Foxstrike found himself missing the usual bustle of the clan at this hour, even though he usually found it loud and bothersome. It was preferable to all the silence- there were places he could go to find that.
As he scanned the camp, taking into account the various scents and sounds, his focus landed in particular on a cat sitting farther away from the others. Perhaps they were trying to avoid the conflict, or maybe they were stuck in their own thoughts. In any case, they seemed rather tense- a kindred spirit, maybe. Foxtrike found himself rising to his paws to walk in their direction before he realized what he was doing.
"Afternoon," he greeted, somewhat stiffly, sitting down next to the younger warrior. He didn't exactly know where to go after that.

Swanbreeze The dwarfed feline shifted her position and weight, so she could sit more comfortably. She gave out a small sigh, before turning her attention to someone who just spoke. The feline didn't hear him come up, and was almost intimidated by his height. "A-after... afternoon...." she said, with the attempt to greet back.

Now that he was closer, Foxstrike had a better idea of the other's size, and he second-guessed her rank until he heard her voice. Quiet, but not one of an apprentice. She was just small...very small. It occurred to him far too late that perhaps approaching her out of the blue was more intimidating than it was friendly, judging by her reaction. "...sorry," he said. "I didn't mean to frighten you. I just happened to notice you were...alone over here." He cleared his throat awkwardly.
"What were you thinking about?"

Swanbreeze Swanbreeze swallowed, with a small shake of her head. "I-it's alright..." she mewed. The she-cat turned to face him better, and slowly sat down, her green eyes still wide. "W-well.. th-there's a lot going on... like h-how some of TreeClan.. doesn't like.. outsiders.." she said, pausing, "I... I guess that's it."

Foxstrike nodded in understanding. "No," he sighed. "It appears that they don't." From the way she spoke, he assumed that she was one of those outsiders, and he spent a moment observing her scent more closely. While he had expected the scent of a loner or anyone else outside to be lingering on her pelt, what he found was certainly...different. He decided not to ask why.
"I admit they have a point," Foxstrike conceded. "There is a rather...large amount of us. The reaction to it now, though, seems a little....sudden. And severe. And entirely uncalled for. Seeing as how nothing too bad has happened so far, anyway." He paused, then introduced himself. "I am Foxstrike. You are?"

Swanbreeze Swanbreeze shuffled her paws, she didn't want to be disliked.. but that happen to be what she thought everyone felt of her. I... I didn't choose to be put here... she thought to herself. The tabby looked at his eyes, and realized she didn't notice them until now. Not commenting on his eyes, she sniffed. "I.. I'm.. Swanbreeze.."

"Swanbreeze," he repeated, nodding and committing the name for memory. "It's nice to meet you." He took a moment to wrap his tail around his paws, trying to relax a little more. Nobody else was close enough to eavesdrop, so at the very least he didn't have to worry about others listening in whenever he spoke. As of late he found it harder to keep things private- especially when everyone seemed to keep bringing up details about everyone else's past into light.
"I'm sorry about all of..." he gestured vaguely with his shoulder towards the camp. "...this," he ended up saying, since he couldn't exactly figure out another way to put it.

Swanbreeze Swanbreeze blinked a few times, "Y-you d-don't have to be.. sorry," she said quietly. The tabby wasn't aware of what was going on with TreeClan at first, but as soon as the word hit her ears, she melted. "It's just... hard.. I-I guess.."

"That it is," Foxstrike agreed solemnly, before shuffling his paws uncertainly. Even now, he wasn't good at all of this- socializing. Especially around with those who seemed to be more reserved, like himself. He didn't understand how others could do it so easily, especially when there didn't seem to be much to talk about. The drama, yes, but it seemed that talk of that made Swanbreeze somewhat anxious. He wanted to avoid that, if possible.
"How...are you doing?" he tried. Unoriginal, but it worked, didn't it? And at least he was being honest about wanting to know.

Swanbreeze Swanbreeze shivered a bit, her ears twitching repetitively. She sat down in a better position, curling her fragile tail along her side. Am.. I saying something wrong? she thought, noticing how he acted. "H-how.. am I doing?" she repeated, her eyes blinking. "I'm.. good?" The feline paused for a moment, "I-I guess.. honestly.. I-I'm a bit.. s-scared, I don't want to be here right now..." she started mumbling.
