Swanfrost
Willowspirit had no idea how she was going to handle training an apprentice when she had just become a warrior. She'd considered telling Oceanstar that she was unable to handle Hickorypaw, but that was the leaders daughter, and Willowspirit feared that if she couldn't do this, she would be exiled.
But now that she was a warrior, she would have to take an apprentice sooner or later, it was part of her duty. Rejecting Hickorypaw would be selfish and only putting off the inevitable.
She found herself wandering through the territory, instinct guiding her paws rather than conscious thought. When Willowspirit found herself at the graveyard, she didn't think twice, slipping past a headstone and heading straight to the small, grotto-like structure that she'd found with Swanfrost.
Willowspirit let out a sigh, laying down. The rush of excitement from her ceremony had faded, replaced by anxiety and self-loathing.

Swanfrost trudges slowly through the territory, instinctively heading for the graveyards. Her head was low, gaze cast on the ground. She had two apprentices to take care of now, and she was so stressed about everything. There was drama with Firewasp, which would probably be brought up with Oceanstar. Drama with Brightwing had started too, and she found herself worried that soon she would leave her like she had left Mudclaw. She didn't have any sturdy relationships as far as she knew; even Willowspirit seemed... detatched. Right now, all she wanted to do was crawl in a dark hole and never come out.
She weaved between the headstones, her gaze unfocused, lost in thought. Surely Oceanstar wouldn't exile her for something she did as an apprentice. Then again, it was highly doubtful he would believe her side of the story in the first place. Swanfrost slipped into the 'den' she had discovered with Willowspirit, startled to see her. She took a hesitant step back, swallowing down her emotions. "Oh, hey." She stayed casually, unsure if she should leave or not. She didn't want to intrude.

Willowspirit was thinking about what to do, and how she was going to train Hickorypaw. She would start with a tour of the territory, of course, then hunting and fighting. As long as she didn't have to deal with any personal issues, and kept things strictly professional, perhaps things wouldn't be so bad.
She was pulled from her thoughts at the sight of another cat, which immediately caused her to bristle, then calm down at the sight of Swanfrost. Willowspirit was fairly sure that, at this point, Swanfrost was her only friend. There was Stormsong, but they didn't see each other very often, and she wasn't confident that their relationship was still good.
"Hey," Willowspirit said, glad for the she-cats company. "..I guess you've got a lot on your mind too."

Swanfrost nodded slowly, moving closer. She sank down to her stomach, laying her head softly over her paws. "Care to share?" She questioned, her voice unusually soft. She wasn't sure what was going on with Willowspirit, though she had a feeling some of it must be the fact that she now had an apprentice. The leaders kid no less. Then again, so did Swanfrost, with an additional apprentice to boot. This was her first time as a mentor, and already she had two apprentices to train.
Swanfrost sometimes wondered what Willowspirit thought of her. She didn't seem to care for her much, and a part of her had always assumed that the only reason they were friends was because Willowspirit didn't have any. She hoped that wasn't true.

Willowspirit was exhausted in every sense of the word. She was still over-working herself- not eating enough, not sleeping, and spending all of her time out hunting in the territory. What kind of example am I setting for Hickorypaw? Willowspirit didn't want any other cat turning out like her, but she had no idea how to prevent it.
She let out a soft sigh, her eyes hollow. "I'm a warrior now, and.. I mean, that part's great. It's kind of nice, knowing that Oceanstar believes in me enough to let me mentor one of his daughters, but I'm going to let him down. I know I will." The silver she-cat said bleakly, being unusually hopeless.
"What about you? I heard you've got another apprentice now." She shifted the subject. It'd been a while since she talked to Swanfrost, and Willowspirit was concerned for how her friend had been doing.

Swanfrost shook her head quickly. She had always supported Willowspirit, and she knew that her friend honestly just needed someone to believe in her. "You're going to do great as a mentor. Hey, maybe one day we could take our apprentices out together." She suggested. Swanfrost knew she wanted to have someone to do it with eventually, and Willowspirit had trained harder than anyone.
At the mention of her own problems she frowned, avoiding eye contact. "That's not really what I'm worried about.." she swallowed the lump in her chest, knowing it would feel better to tell someone. "I... I think I'm in some serious trouble." She stated softly, finding herself unable to say why.

Willowspirit hesitated, looking down at her paws for a moment. She hated feeling weak, and wondered if Swanfrost was only being kind because she felt sorry for Willowspirit. That couldn't be true, though, as Swanfrost wasn't the type of cat to forgo honesty in favor of sparing another cats feelings. "Okay, that might be fun." Willowspirit agreed with a nod, meaning her words.
Seeing Swanfrost's reaction filled Willowspirit with concern for the younger she-cat. "Why, what did you do?" She implored anxiously. Lately, Willowspirit had been isolating herself, and she had no idea what was going on as far as clan drama.

Swanfrost smiled when Willowspirit agreed. She doubted the feline would say no, though a part of her was afraid the offer would be rejected.
Swanfrost looked at her paws with a guilty expression. "Well... You know Firewasp? We kind of had a fight as apprentices, and I hurt her pretty bad... She was in the medicine cats den recently because her wounds re-opened, and her friend Sparkpaw confronted me.. I think I have to go with them to tell Oceanstar." Her tone obviously showed her fear. She didn't mention anything about Brightwing though.

"So you got in a fight, huh?" Willowspirit could sympathize with that, she'd probably been in more fights than any other cat in FireClan. There was her fight with Almondfire as a kit, Almondfire as an apprentice, Aloepaw, Mudclaw, and then one more with Almondfire. Although, Willowspirit had never actually been punished for any of them.
Too many FireClan cats were fighting amongst themselves, and if this did get to Oceanstar, Willowspirit doubted that he would be merciful. Her face twisted with concern for her friend. "I guess if you have to talk to Oceanstar, just tell him the truth. It was just one fight, and you didn't kill her."

"Oceanstar won't believe me. Firewasp is making it sound like I attacked her unprovoked, like I'm some kind of crazy psychopath." She made a 'scary' face, waving her claws in the air to imitate a phychotic cat. She just looked weird.
Swanfrost was initially surprised that Willowspirit hadn't gotten mad at her. Which was fairly stupid, Swanfrost knew she had a rich fighting history. It would be hypocritical of her to say anything to Swanfrost about it.

"Were there any witnesses? They could vouch for you.." Willowspirit didn't know any details about why or how the fight had happened, but she was determined to support Swanfrost anyways. Even if it was for a dumb reason, that didn't make Swanfrost a bad cat, and she deserved to be treated justly.
Willowspirit was worried that Swanfrost would actually be exiled for fighting, though, and the thought of losing Swanfrost sent terror throughout her entire body. "It'll be okay. I'm sure it will.."

Swanfrost closed her eyes, trying to think. "No... no, I don't think so." She didn't bother opening her eyes again. What would he do to her? Could she be exiled for it? She had hurt her pretty bad...
"Yeah." Swanfrost's voice shook, digging her claws into the ground. Cats would instantly point the blame at her, she just knew it. She was always angry, she certainly had a temper, and she had even talked back to Oceanstar as an apprentice. Why would he beleive her? He wouldn't.

Willowspirit hesitated, trying to think of a way to be realistic without making it sound like Swanfrost was doomed. She wasn't the best at being optimistic, and she couldn't act like Swanfrost had gotten herself into a messy situation. "If no one saw it, then Firewasp can't prove you wrong, either. I don't think Oceanstar will believe that you're totally crazy, I know I don't."
It sounded like things were going downhill for Swanfrost, and Willowspirit hoped that the she-cat's life didn't end up as bad as Willowspirit's was. "I've been in more fights than you, if anyone gets exiled, it should be me."

Swanfrost felt a little more hopeful at her friends words. She had two cats on her side, and it was nice to know that she wasn't completely alone. "I just hope this all ends quickly." It was the worst right now, waiting for an outcome.
"But you're not being exiled. You had motivation to fight, I didn't..." She admitted slowly. It was simply because of her stupid pride. She stood, needing some time alone, to think. "I should go..." She flashed her a wary smile, waving her tail slightly before ducking out of the hideout.
(Sorry if that seemed rushed, I'm anxious to do that other thread xD)

"Oh, okay." Willowspirit hadn't been expecting Swanfrost to end the conversation so abruptly, and as her friend walked away, she got the sick feeling that it was because of something she did wrong. Perhaps Willowspirit had been too annoying or whiny and it had just made things worse. Exhausted, she rested her head on her paws, left to stew in her own negative thoughts.
