I t was a fair day. The sun warmed the earth just the right way, and the calm breeze was perfect. Oakkit sat in the sun, closing his eyes and letting it sink to his bones, warming him through. Nothing was better than days like this. But it lasted shortly, as he was disturbed by something behind him. He looked back over his shoulder, spotting another cat. Without saying anything, he blinked at the new kit, and looked forward, slightly bothered. It had been such a good day, and he didn't feel like talking.

It was a nice warm day. Midnightkit sat in the entrance of the nursery, bored. Gazing around camp, she spotted a small lump of moss nearby. Padding towards it, she soon made a sloppy ball. It wasn't the best, but it still worked. Prodding it away, she soon began chasing the ball of moss, smacking it away soon as it came close. During the game, Midnightkit flung the moss ball quite far, but then gasped as it rolled onto another cat. Quickly padding to her moss ball, she tried to apologize, but no words came out. Her pelt beginning to prickle in embarrassment, she tried again, "S-sorry. I didn't s-see you there."

O akkit, still slightly annoyed, stood up and turned around, before calmly sitting back down again and flicking his slightly fluffy tail around his white paws. "It's okay," he said, flicking his eyes down at her mossball, the thing that had hit him. He was never really amused by things like that, but that was when he was alone. Oak brought his green gaze up to her eyes. "What's your name?" he started, before adding, "I'm Oakkit."

Relieved, Midnightkit mewed, "I'm Midnightkit." She sat down, hoping to start up a conversation. "Oakkit, huh?" Midnightkit meowed, "I like it."

O akkit gave a small smile, his eyes shinning. "Thanks," he answered, wondering if he should compliment her name as well. It was unique, and he wondered temporarily what she wanted her warrior name to be, so he asked her. "What would you like your warrior name to be?" Oakkit had never really thought much of his warrior name, and wondered what he wanted it to be. He thought of all his options, Oakstrike, Oakbite, Oakpounce, but it really wasn't up to him. It all came down to what Arrowstar chose for him.

Thinking about Oakkit's question, Midnightkit soon realized that she had never really thought about that. Thinking, she soon said, "Well, I would maybe like something like Midnightfur or Midnightpool. I personally like Midnightfur." "What about you?" Midnightkit asked, slightly tipping her head, "I think something like Oakwing would be cool."

O akkit nodded with a smile. "Yeah, I like that. I haven't really thought much about it, though," he admitted. Oakwing did sound nice, if not a little girly. But how could a name be girly?

Warmed by Oakkit's smile, Midnightkit let out a little purr. Soon, with a glint of mischief in her eyes, she got a new idea. Slowly standing up, she quickly got into a crouch. Creeping toward Oakkit's side, Midnightkit kept her green gaze on him. Suddenly, Midnightkit flicked her white tail tip, aiming for Oakkit's ear.

O akkit watched as Midnightkit suddenly dropped into a crouch. What was she doing? She stalked slowly up to him, and he watched in a pale gaze, simply confused. Suddenly, she bit his ear quickly. "Ow!" he said and fell back. "What was that for?" Without thinking, he swiped his paw toward her face, aiming to bat it away. So apparently he didn't know what it looked like when someone was about to attack him, but now he did. He knew how to fight, he had learned that from his father, but his father had never actually bit him.

Quickly turning back towards Oakkit, Midnightkit was about to ask if he was okay, when, suddenly, a paw batted her muzzle. Midnightkit didn't know that the bite was that hard. She just thought that it was a little nip. Midnightkit hoped that Oakkit was okay. Getting into action, Midnightkit leaped away, crouching low, watching Oakkit carefully. Sprinting as quick as she could, Midnightkit aimed to flicked her tail across Oakkit's ear. "You're pretty good at this!" She complemented, then, hastily Midnightkit added, "Sorry about that bite!"
(Midnightkit doesn't want to be to mean. Sorry...)

O akkit laughed, and ducked as her tail flew over his head. "It's fine, it just surprised me, that's all. I wasn't expecting it." He flicked the ear that was bitten, as if shaking the feeling off. Then, he also gave a mischievous smile, "Did you want to fight?" he asked. (( nah, he never thought she was mean. he was just really surprised ))

Midnightkit returned the smile, feeling better that Oakkit wasn't hurt. "If you want to." Midnightkit replied honestly. Pulling her mouth into a playful snarl, Midnightkit crouched down low, her belly fur lightly touch the ground. Making sure her claws were sheathed, she started to slowly go around in a circle around Oakkit. Her shoulders tense, ready for Oakkit to make the first move. (Good )

O akkit's quick eyes watched her circle him, and they darted around to the other side as she went around him. He flicked his tail, and it swiped right over her head, and he didn't mean to hit her, just to give a distraction. Once he neared his front again, he suddenly whipped toward her and dove at her, trying to knock her off balance as his father had taught him to do.

Carefully watching Oakkit, Midnightkit jumped as he swiped that her head, but missed. That's odd, Midnightkit thought. Once they were eye to eye again, Oakkit suddenly leaped at her. Squeaking, Midnightkit tried to run away, but she wasn't quick enough. Tumbling along with Oakkit, Midnightkit tried to squeeze away.

O akkit had successfully tumbled into Midnightkit, and they rolled a few tail lengths before she got away from his grasp. He quickly stopped himself and popped back up, covered in dust.
