akkit nodded, acknowledging that she was hurt. He didn't want to push her to tell him information, so he didn't ask any more questions about her past. "They do give you that safe feeling, don't they?" he asked, but it was more like an agreement.

Then, since Midnightkit didn't want to talk much about her past, Oakkit asked her something else. "What's you favourite thing to do?" He smiled at her, his eyes bright.

Still gazing at the trees, Midnightkit purred as she heard Oakkit. She felt like Oakkit was a great friend because he knew that she wasn't comfortable.
Thinking about this question, Midnightkit answered, "Well, I enjoy star gazing during the night." Tilting her head, Midnightkit asked," What about you?"

Midnightkit's ear flicked as she heard Oakkit. He doesn't know what he likes? Midnightkit asked herself. Looking at the sky, Midnightkit remembered her conversation with Ashfall during the night. Looking at the stars with him made her feel happy and safe. Maybe she would feel the same way again if she did it with Oakkit. "How would you like it if you went star gazing with me sometime?" Midnightkit mewed, looking back at Oakkit. "Any time is okay with me."

akkit's eyes seemed to brighten. "That's sounds fun," he agreed, excited. No one had ever offered to do anything for him, or with him. Mostly he did things by himself, or was commanded to do them. With his father, he guessed they trained together, but it was different.

Midnightkit's stomach leaped when Oakkit agreed. "Sweet!" Midnightkit exclaimed, leaping to her paws. "How about tonight? I can wake you up when it's time."

Padding back to th Nursery, Midnightkit looked over her shoulder, smiling back. "I won't!" With a purr, she scrambled back into the Nursery.
