Swanfrost was not having a good day. Then again, she never really was anymore. She was mindlessly walking through the territory, her ears flat against her head and her eyes narrowed. She was near the border, walking alongside it. Back and forth. Back and forth. She had half a mind to cross it and never look back, although Fireclan was still her home... Wasn't it? It had never really felt like home. She froze midstep, paw hovering in the air as she caught an all too familiar scent. "Loki?" She called out insurely. She had once again come at night, and she remembered that his black pelt blended in perfectly. Although, the sun was just beginning to rise, and in a few minutes there would be more light. Loki

T he border Loki had been approaching seemed all too familiar, and the cat that stood on it. As he approached, the cat called out his name. He stopped for a slight moment, recognized who it was, and continued. He sat a few tail lengths away and looked up at the white cat's eyes. "Here I am," he said, remembering that he had told Swanfrost he would return. But he had been busy lately, and his brother wasn't exactly helping out.

Swanfrost was less than impressed at his arrival. "Here you are." She repeated, a small scowl on her face. She didn't sit, her tail waving behind her. It wasn't exactly hostile, nor was it friendly.
"What's been occupying you?" She pressed rather bluntly, curious. It had been awhile since they had talked, surely something interesting had happened.

L oki narrowed his eyes slightly. He was reminded of the personalities of the cats of Fireclan. They were different from those of Treeclan, but weren't all cats different? He relaxed slightly, and looked at the ground in front of him. "Battles, fighting, blood," he said ominously. He hadn't enjoyed the past moons, but some parts of it had been nice. Though, mostly he had lost the trust of others, like he assumed would happen. No one ever trusted him, ever, so he wondered why he tried.

"Could you be any more specific?" Swanfrost huffed, though her eyes sparkled with curiosity. She had never been in a real battle before, and the thought of it excited her. Living the life of a loner seemed so... Awesome.

L oki gave a small smile, "I could, but that would be boring." His eyes gave a hint of mischief, and his smile never faltered.

Swanfrost rolled her eyes, but grinned lightly. "If you're so against being boring, we should do something fun." She proposed, head held high. She had no clue what that could be, though she hoped he did.

L oki smiled. "Well, you know this territory better than me..." he started, ideas popping into his head. But they quickly disappeared. It was no fun for a loner to interact with a clan cat, because they had to follow the warrior code. They had to stay guarded behind their borders, rotting away and creating useless plans for the future. Then, Loki suddenly seemed to wake up. He took a few steps out, then turned around and came back, facing straight at Swanfrost. "You're like..." he searched for the right word, "fog. You're shrowded with mystery, but it's only a matter of time until the sun comes out," here he tilted his head up to look at the sky, "and the fog rolls away." He met her gaze again with a small smile.

Swanfrost flattened her large ears against her head with a frown. "You know you can't come into the territory." She flicked her tail in irritation. Not towards Loki, mostly just at the fact that he couldn't cross the border. She just wanted to have fun for once and not worry about the rules of her clan.
Swanfrost blinked, speechless. That was... weird. Really weird. She supposed he was right, but jeez... So weird. "Umm.." She cleared her throat, unsure what to say. "I really hope you don't want me to do what you just did to you." She offered a lopsided grin.

L oki continued on, still trying to get to his point. "I know nearly nothing about you, other than you live in Fireclan and your name is Swanfrost," he started. "I've told you things about me, so what are you like?" He was genuinely curious about what she would respond with.

Swanfrost blinked, her ears flicking. It wasn't really dangerous to tell him about herself, was it? He was a loner, one that, as of right now, couldn't hurt her. At least, not emotionally. She doubted he would end up talking to anyone else from her clan, so there really wasn't a huge deal... "There's not much to say." She shrugged casually, trying to keep it brief. "I was adopted into the clans at a young age, most people don't like me, and I'm obnoxiously argumentative." She grinned, licking her paw.

L oki smiled, but he could tell her explanation was brief and without much detail. "Where did you come from?" he asked. He wouldn't push her much, but he was curious to hear where she had come from before entering the clans.

"I don't know." Swanfrost admitted. It wasn't exactly a lie. She really didn't know, but she knew that if she wanted to remember her past, she could. But what was the point?

L oki nodded, relaxing his tense muscles, which he didn't even know were tense, and falling into sitting position. "I wish I could tell you about where I'm from," he said, leaving out the other part of the sentence, but I don't think you'd understand.

Swanfrost tilted her head. "Why can't you?" The way he said it, she assumed that he meant he too couldn't remember. Or perhaps he wasn't supposed to tell her.
