Readying herself for the next move, Midnightkit couldn't help her whiskers twitching when Oakkit started laughing. When she saw that Oakkit was ready, Midnightkit flung herself at him, planning to bowl him over.

akkit tumbled head over tail as Midnightkit pounced on him. It was strange, he wasn't used to not using his claws, but he didn't want to hurt a friend. He squeezed out of her grasp and tried a small bite on her shoulder.

The play fight was becoming more and more vigilant. As Oakkit squeezed from Midnightkit's grasp, Midnightkit felt teeth brush against her shoulder. Shoving herself away, Midnightkit tried to avoid Oakkit's teeth.

akkit huffed a small breath, wearing out, but he wouldn't stop. This was his one weakness, and his father had tried to warn him time after time again to conserve his energy, but Oakkit wasn't very good at it. He guessed it would be better if he learned how to develop his lungs.

Turning around, Midnightkit realized that Oakkit was tired. Gently sitting down, she mewed, "That was pretty fun! You are a natural!" Midnightkit excited that was enough play fighting for a little while. Maybe the next time they fought would be when they were apprentices.

akkit laughed. "Lots of training," he said, though he hadn't gotten much in before he left. Just a few moons made him the way he is, and more training would make him better.

Smiling at Oakkit, Midnightkit mewed gently, "Come over here. I want to show you something." Slowly rolling onto her back, Midnightkit gazed back up at the stars. This was always her favorite way to look at the stars. It always helped her relax better. Flicking her tail, Midnightkit beckoned Oakkit to do the same.

akkit padded closer to Midnightkit and mimicked her pose. When he rolled onto his back, his fur was so close it brushed against Midnightkit's. "Do you know any names?" he asked, wondering if they called the stars different things. He pointed to one straight above him. It was bright, but not too bright. It was small as well. "I like to call that one Tinw, which means small star."

Midnightkit's tail twitched as she felt Oakkit's fur brush against hers, but then soon relaxed. It felt nice having Oakkit beside her. Gazing at the stars, Midnightkit tried to think if she knew any of their names. Looking at the star that Oakkit pointed out, Midnightkit purred slightly. Half joking, Midnightkit purred, "Is there a lot of Tinws?"

akpaw laughed. "To some, yes, but to me, there is only one." He stared at the star he had pointed out, smiling. It reminded him of many things, of home, and all the things he had already gone through in his life. He wondered if his life would always be this grand.

Shuffling a little closer Oakkit, Midnightkit gazed at the stars again. "Is there any more?" Midnightkit found star gazing very interesting when others found it also fun. Midnightkit enjoyed sharing the moment with others, especially friends. "Is there any that you would call 'your favorite'?

akkit gave a long sigh. "Yes, I like the brightest star to the North." He smiled. "I like to call it elenath, which means starlight. Because it's the brightest, I call it this."

"That one is one of my favorites." Midnightkit mewed. Then pointing with her right paw, she purred, "That one is also one of my favorites. The small one between two other big ones. It's just not giving up."

akkit followed her paw to the star, and found it amusing. He smiled, then sighed. It was quiet, and nearly not there, but it was still a sigh. Finally, he closed his eyes with the smile still on his face.

Hearing Oakkit sigh, Midnightkit gazed back toward him. He looked happy. The tip of her tail twitching, Midnightkit asked, "Are you tired?" Looking at the moon, Midnightkit realized the Moon was a little more further away. Glancing in the opposite direction, Midnightkit saw that it was still quite dark. Not dawn yet.
