akpaw's eyes opened again, and he looked back to see Midnight looking to the sky. It was dark, maybe a little past midnight. He thought a moment about lying, but that never went anywhere, so he was honest. "A little..."

"Me too." Midnightkit agreed. Glancing back at Oakkit, Midnightkit mewed, "I enjoyed doing this with you."

akkit smiled. "It was really fun, and it brought me back to my clan. I forgot I was far away from them... basically in another world."

Lightly brushing her tail against his, Midnightkit murmured, "You do miss them, don't you?"

akkit sighed, letting his gaze drop to his paws. "Yes..." he said quietly. He missed them a lot, and he had no reason to leave. But now that he had, he had a whole life ahead of him. "But I can't think of them now."

Flicking her gaze away from Oakkit, Midnightkit softly mewed, "I always ask myself if my parents are still looking for me." Midnightkit tried to think that her parents are looking for her, but what did she know? For all she knew, her parents could actually be happy that she was gone. But then why did she have the feeling that the thought was wrong?

akkit smiled as his eyelids hrew heavier. He fought to keep them open. "Thats a nice thought," he commented.

Midnightkit could hear the tiredness in Oakkit's voice. Lightly flicking her tail, Midnightkit quietly mewed, "We could go back to the Nursery, if you want to. We have stayed up for quite a while."

akkit nodded and rolled back onto his paws. He trudged tiredly back into the nursery, bu before climbing into his nest, he cast a smile back at Midnight. "See you tomorrow?"

"Sure!" Midnightkit mewed cheerfully, giving a little hop. "I had a great time with you, Oakkit." She sheepishly added. Slowly curling into her nest, Midnightkit smiled quickly at Oakkit, then tucked her muzzle under her paw.
