SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY A mischievous glint appeared in Loki's eye, and he began to speed up a bit. His stride was long, as he was tall, and so a short cat would have to run beside him while he was trotting. A plan began to form in his mind.

Arabella rolled her wyes, getting into a tree without an issue and following a chain of trees. In trees, she was faster than any cat faster than her on foot.

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Loki looked up to see Arabella leaping from tree to tree above him. He quickly broke out into a full out sprint, which he could run for quite a distance. The flat ground began to break apart, and he leaped nimbly from rock to rock until he found himself at a small cliff, but took no time leaping off it. When he landed with a roll, he sprang up again and began sprinting full out again, through short, brown grass. He was now officially in the plains, which held no trees, but only the coarse grass. The sun was large and setting in front of him, casting his shadow out behind him.

Arabella sped up and he sprinted and wasn't paying quite the attention she could have been as she landed on that last tree by the fields and fell, rolling down the small cliff. She wasn't really that hurt, but man she pretended.

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Loki slowed as his breath started to become heavy, and looked back over his shoulder. Arabella was but a large dot against the slowly darkening cliff, and she looked hurt. Loki rolled his eyes and began to pad slowly back, but stopped a few feet in. What if she was pretending? This was Loki's chance to get away.

Even as Loki kept walking, she didn't drop the act. For all she knew, if she got up it could turn out her ankle could be twisted. And for all the other cat knew, her leg could be broken. "Fox! Help!" she called.

Arabella winced, a perfect fake empression. She had even mastered the glint of pain in her eye. "Now is not time," she growled, trying to get up and purposely failing, "Help me. Please."

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Loki padded back, not convinced of her acting skills, but he still went back anyway. When he got there, he laid down so that his belly rubbed the ground. "Since you obviously can't walk, I'll carry you," he said, slightly annoyed. He could manage her, even if he didn't look strong.
(( everytime she calls him fox, the x-files come to mind ))
