Fadingnight herself didn't have many emotions of her own, but she did seem to have a bit of a talent for picking up on the emotions from others. It was all about paying attention to their eyes along with their pheromone output and body language; and if she was correct with her senses this was a very touchy subject for the loner. Even after she had finished her short explanation she still stood there flinching. Either there was more to the story or it was truly a very dramatic experience; how couldn't it be, the she-cat had lost her vision.
"I'm sorry Burr." She began, actually feeling bad for the she-cat once Fadingnight had put herself in the she-cat's place (in her minddd). "I can't imagine what it was like to lose your sight."

Was Fadingnight... Feeling sorry for her? Burr couldn't understand this, why though. Because she was feeling pity on her. That's why. "It's not as bad as you think..." Burr murmured, trying to hide that this was a total lie. "You don't have to feel bad for me... I don't care."

Fadingnight shrugged, sure she might have felt a little bad but bad things happened to everyone. Living was like riding down a river and occasionally or in some cases continuously, getting caught up in the rapids.
"Hey man I mean, you do you; you seem fine." Even with her blindness the loner seemed to be getting along just fine, feeding wise anyways. And surprisingly her wounds had healed quite well.

Burr was glad that Fadingnight once again, dropped the subject. But the sentence 'you seem fine' caused curiosity. "Just asking," Burr started, "What do I look like?" Burr looked in a puddle once, when she had her sight, and she saw her reflection. A black long furred she-cat with a spiky tail and deep amber eyes. How much have she changed?

What did she look like? Obviously the cat hadn't always been blind, due to the scaring over her eyes that had caused the onslaught of blindness. But hadn't she ever seen herself before? Maybe not after the incident Fadingnight presumed.
"Well erm," She started, a little anxious that if she went into detail she might upset the she-cat in how much the rouges had really roughed her up. "Obviously you have a lot of scaring, in the face and really everywhere." She described, but she assumed that while the loner was cleaning herself she would've found most of the scar tissue.
"And your hind-leg looks pretty mangled... I'm not really sure a rouge could've done that..." Yeah, there was definitely more to the story than what Burr was explaining.

Scarred and a mangled leg... Burr knew that her leg must have been twisted but she never knew that she had that many scars. When Fadingnight brought up her legs and said that she knew that a Rogue couldn't have done that, Burr knew that Fadingnight was trying to uncover the rest of the story. Deciding that she ought to tell her, Burr told another part....
Sighing, Burr told the second part, "Well, I thought that I was able to take on the Rogues who ambushed me. I held out for a small while, but after one of them tripped me and I was on my side, that is when I began to take the hits." Burr silently cursed herself. How could she even THINK of taking on a whole batch of them?!? There was almost seven of them! Taking a deep breath, Burr continued, "I scrambled up to run away. They knew those alleyways more than I did so I tried to take a short cut across a Thunderpath. I didn't see the Monster turn and face me. But somehow it did and didn't want to eat me... But it still ran into me..."

A thunderpath, now that made more sense. The monsters that patrolled the stinking things could've definitely done the damage that her leg had taken. Fadingnight herself had never come into contact with one of the monsters, had never come close to a thunderpath at all and in fact had made a habit to stay away from them. She had never been curious enough to want to.
"That sounds more like it." She responded, nodding now that everything was wrapped up neatly and made sense. "I'm surprised you can still walk and hunt on it, can you still climb trees with such an injury?" The loner had probably not tasted bird since the last time she had her sight.

"Climb trees?" Burr meowed. Heh heh... Shuffling her paws, Burr awkwardly meowed, "The thing is... The whole time I had my sight was when I lived in the Twoleg place. I mainly ate mice, rats, and sometimes Twoleg scraps. Ummm... Well, I never climbed a tree before..."

It had obviously been some decision for the feline to have left her two-leg place, especially with the injuries it had cost her. Fadingnight wondered, well more assumed that Burr had at least once thought about going back to her house folk; although obviously she hadn't.
"Then you'd fit well in Fireclan, they don't like trees." Back in Treeclan Fadingnight had been quite the climber, being able to jump from branch to branch and travel distances in such a fashion, and fast at that. "Say Burr, with your injuries and all, haven't you ever thought about heading back to your two-legs?"

"Two-legs?!?" Burr gasped, "Did you really think that I would ever live with those clumsy things?" Burr shook her head, imagining living with the Two-legs. "I may have eaten a few scrawny scraps, but those were from their trash cans! All that my old family did was live in one of the alleyways."

Okay okay, so Fadingnight had assumed a bit wrong and set her off again but on the bright side she had gotten more truth out of the loner. That was good for something... right?
"OH! I understand." She mewed nodding like she had just made some big discovery and really had to think about it. "So in other words, before you can around here you were an alleycat. Interesting."

Burr didn't entirely like the tone of Fadingnight. She made it sound like it was much more of a big deal than it really was, but Burr kept her mouth shut.
Thinking back to when they talked about Fadingnight's past, Burr asked, "Did you have any friends or family when you left TreeClan? Or did you leave because they all left and the bad memories were haunting you?"

Sure, she guessed she had a few friends still back in Treeclan, if they were still around.
"I had a daughter in Treeclan." She started, remembering back to the run-in she had recently had with her former mate. "But I think she has been long gone for a long while. Haven't heard from my brother either..."
It was sad when she really thought about it, just how many she had lost in the move. "What about you, make any friends around here yet?"

"It's hard to leave them, isn't it?" Burr asked, knowing the feeling. She had left her family to become a different cat... But she didn't expect that she would turn out to be THIS kind of cat. Well... She is who she is...
"Not really," Burr meowed, carelessly, "You were the first cat I really met after... My accident..." Then shrugging her shoulders, Burr meowed, "I don't normally like to meet new cats..."

(( fading shrugs soooo much, she's so nonchalant about everything ))
Fadingnight shrugged, she had never been one for family or close bonds at that. At one time she had a mate, obviously because she had a daughter; and had a few other kits before that but none had ever earned their warrior names besides one. "I guess you could say that." She responded bluntly.
Although Fading was a bit surprised with the next portion of the conversation. Fadingnight had been the first cat she had met since the incident. It was surprising because she knew there were plenty of other loners, plenty of Deathclan out there that she had not run into yet, let alone the other clans. "Really, no one at all? That's different. At least you're not on Deathclan's radar."
