[Sky]

Sky noticed his hesitance, tilting her head slightly to the side though she made no comment about it. Sky flattened her ears back for no particular reason, keeping her muzzle pointing towards him, something she had found difficult when she first became blind.

" To be honest, not really. It felt just like home." She replied sourly, knowing it to be true. A lot of these cats were just as ruthless as her father, much to her distaste. " You?" She tried to keep her tone calm, quick to point the conversation back to him.

"Really? Good for you." He couldn't think of anywhere else that was like DeathClan. 'Maybe she used to live around here. Or maybe she's just used to living with a group of jerks.' He noticed how quickly she redirected the conversation back to him. It sounded like she didn't want to elaborate.

"It was... a little tricky, to be honest. But I'm fine now." He let out a short, happy purr.

[Sky]

Sky didn't ask him to explain, knowing the last time she asked about his past he hadn't wanted to say much. Though perhaps now that they knew more about each other he would elaborate. " That's good... I don't suppose you would want to elaborate on that, huh?" She stated, though it ended up being more of a question. She really didn't expect him too, though she hoped he wouldn't get all prickly about it. She knew personally if he asked the same question she wouldn't say anything about it, so it probably wasn't fair of her to ask.

Jude shrugged. "It doesn't really matter now. I wouldn't want to bore you with the details." He chuckled, closing his eyes. It wasn't that he was trying to get out of answering. He just really didn't want to waste her time.

"Does your family live nearby?" He asked aloud, trying to think of something else to say. Lately he'd been meeting cats who had just left their family to come here. He wondered if Sky was one of them.

" No really, I want to know." Sky insisted, though was careful not to push him too much. She honestly couldn't tell if he was making excuses or really just didn't want to bore her. Either way her curiosity had only peaked.

" Family?" She echoed, flicking her ears back, deep in thought. She was slightly confused by the question, wondering why he initially thought she had any family. Though, she never said she didn't. " I hope not." She forced a chuckle, though didn't explain any further. " How 'bout you?" She retaliated.

"Oh! Well it isn't much, really. I've just never interacted with anyone before DeathClan. It was weird talking to someone for the very first time." He tried to keep it short, not wanting to go on and on. He opened his eyes and watched her when she repeated him. "Yeah."

"I hope not." Jude smiled. "How come? If you don't mind me asking, that is." He knew this was a sensitive subject for some cats. He shook his head. "No idea."

[Sky]

" Oh. I guess I can see why that would be hard to adjust to." Sky smiled, glad he seemed ok with the conversation topic and wasn't feeling pressured.

Sky flicked her ears, taking in a deep breath. She wasn't really sure what to tell him, she barely knew him after all. " Well.... Its complicated." She blew off the question, still untrusting of the tom. "No idea." Sky tilted her head, curious. " Oh? Were you separated from them?" She questioned, glad to be talking about him again.

"Mhm." He tipped his head when she denied the question, curiosity growing. 'I want to know... But I guess I can't push it.' "That's okay." He said, shaking his head. "I don't know." He frowned. "You don't like to talk about yourself much." He observed aloud, not thinking she would take offense to that. "How come?"

Sky tilted her head when he said he didn't know, about to question his answer before he asked why she didn't talk about herself. She flattened her ears, taken aback by it. " You don't much either." She retorted, though she didn't show any signs of hostility. " I barely know you, it seems odd for me to talk about something so... Personal." She shook her head, her tail tip twitching uncomfortably. She didn't want to indulge in her past to a stranger, although she wasn't sure he was much of a stranger anymore.

Jude ignored her first comment. He blinked, smile quickly reappearing when Sky went on. "Oh! I mean, we don't have to talk about anything personal." He sniffed. "Just, y'know, other things about yourself. Like what's your favorite season?" 'That can't be too personal, can it?'

Sky flicked her ears back in surprise, seeing as she had never been asked something so insignificant. " Oh... I guess Newleaf, there's usually a lot to hunt." She concluded, nodding her head lightly. " What about you?" Sky questioned, tipping her head ever so slightly.

Jude shifted around as he waited, struggling to find a comfortable spot. "That's cool. I bet new-leaf would be a mouse's least favorite season. All these cats looking to kill them must suck." He twitched his whiskers in thought when she returned the question. "I don't know. I like them all."

Sky let out a huff of laughter, flicking her ears back. " I guess I never thought about a mouse's perspective." Sky listened to him shuffle around, though she made no comment. " Even leaf-bare?" Sky questioned in disbelief, knowing she herself hated the cold season.

"It's interesting to think about it, isn't it?" He smiled kindly at the sound of her laughter, nodding when she asked a question. "Yeah. It's cold and miserable, but snow is really cool so I think it makes up for it."

" I guess so." Sky shrugged nonchalantly, though it was in fact interesting. Sky smiled fondly at the memory of snow, as a kit she had loved the wide expanse of white, though now... She shook her head, clearing off the emotion from her face. " To each its own." She muttered. Sky clicked her tongue in thought, fluffing out her fur against a cool breeze.
