Esther nodded in response. 'I wonder who Blade is. One of her other siblings, maybe?' It was troubling to hear that her brother was dead, but she didn't ask the feline to elaborate. Most cats here had deceased or absent family members anyway. 'And I don't think it'd be a very good thing to talk about.'

Serenity knew the look on Esther'sface and smiled. "Don't worry about asking questions. My history really doesn't effect my current life. I've moved on. I did long ago."

"Oh, that's alright. I don't want to bother you with too many questions." She murmured, wanting to show respect for the she-cat. 'Even if I am curious.' Esther looked down, shuffling her fluffy paws. She didn't know what else to say.

Serenity laughed slightly."If you say so. The people in my past probably wouldn't think I deserve to be the one here to tell their story anyway." she responded solemnly. "Although I suppose it is better than that of some cats around here."

Esther blinked, gaze remaining on her paws. 'Why are you telling me all of this?' She couldn't imagine herself ever being as open as Serenity was. She nodded at the she-cat's words, hoping Serenity wasn't upset with her for nodding so much.
