Brightpaw was starting to understand that despite Swanpaw's actions pointing to the contrary... The she-cat was blunt. She had no reason to sugar-coat anything, so she decided to take the thin-pelted apprentice's words at face value. Despite being in the middle of a spar, she smiled softly. "Thank you." She said softly, not sure if Swanpaw heard but... Oh well.
Brightpaw's kicking attack had missed, and now Swanpaw was... Attacking her face again. Her feet and paws backpedaled, not a single paw throwing off her balance as she successfully backed up, missing each one of Swanpaw's swipes. "Then why do you hate my face so much?" Then she decided to just throw all sense to wind to the wind, and rushed forward with incredible speed to headbutt Swanpaw. In the face.

Swanpaw had barely heard her thanks, though it was received nonetheless. "Yeah... no problem." She felt so odd saying those words in the middle of a spar.
Swanpaw was pleasantly surprised by Brightpaws ability to dodge almost all of her attacks. "Wow, you're good. Teach me how to do that someday, yeah?" Swanpaw watched as Brightpaw charged her head on. A part of Swanpaw wanted to move to the side, but Brightpaw was fast, so she didn't have time. Instead she began sprinting forward too.

((are... are they.... are they cats or bulls
Brightpaw simply nodded subtly. She wasn't sure if Swanpaw saw.
"Sure." She'd actually spent a lot of time running around, trying to make herself move in weird patterns, in every direction, in every manner. The practice had greatly contributed to her already fantastic balance, agility, and speed. She wasn't the strongest cat around, but she made up for it in incredible dodging ability.
The last thing she expected though... Was Swanpaw to charge at her as well. Brightpaw felt pain and disorientation rush through her head first acutely, then spreading to the rest of her body. She ignored it, moving through the motions to hit Swanpaw in the head again with her face.

(Bulls. Just... bulls)
Swanpaw was happy to know that Brightpaw had so easily agreed. It wasn't that Swanpaw didn't think she was a good fighter, but Brightpaw was really good. Swanpaw wasn't that prideful, she knew she could learn a thing or two from the feline.
Swanpaw sucked in a sharp breath of air on impact, accidentally biting down on her tongue. Hard. Her vision spun, black dots filling it for a few moments. Right as she was about to recover she was hit again, stumbling back, swaying hard on her paws. She waved a paw into the air, nauseous. "Alright... you win." She fell onto her back dramatically, half on purpose and half because she was so dizzy, grinning.

Brightpaw's head felt vaguely fried, in a metaphorical sense of course. She couldn't really see straight or collect her thoughts. She squinted her eyes, somehow maintaining balance through the massive self-induced headache.
"Eh... Did I win...?" She asked, sounding a little off, also having not heard Swanpaw conceding.

Swanpaw hadn't heard her. She flattened her large ears to her head as they rung loudly, the sound echoing through her head. After a long moments pause Swanpaw seemed to get her senses back, blood trickling down her chin. "Remind me to never do that again." She groaned, head still aching.

Brightpaw's head had cleared up enough to... At least process things a little. "Argh... " She rubbed at the corner of her forehead, when she encountered something sticky. She brought her paw back down to see what it was... Huh. She must've hit her head way too hard against Swanpaw, her head was leaking. Just a bit though, nothing too serious, even by Brightpaw's looser than healthy standards.
"Agh... Okay, if I'm there I'll remind you..."

Swanpaw finally managed to actually look at Brightpaw and, noticing her head bleeding, lifted a paw to her own. She hissed in pain at the contact, pain flaring through her whole body. When she drew it back there was a few small specks of blood, but nothing much else. "I think I bit my tongue." She mumbled, already feeling it swell. Her chin was stained with blood, and she watched as it dropped onto the grass. "Should we go thee the medithin cat?" She began laughing at her inability to say her 's' words properly from the pain in her mouth.

Brightpaw winced, at seeing Swanpaw in pain. Maybe... Maybe the headbutting was a bad idea. Yep, check that off as a bad idea.
"Er... I think it should be fine." She shook her head gently, trying to shake off the pain. "It's nothing too bad that won't heal fine on its own, I think... Don't need to waste Honeyfur's herbs. I've done that enough already, really."

Swanpaw hesitated, looking Brightpaw up and down. She didn't want the feline to suddenly realize she had a concussion and slip into a coma or something. Was that even possible? She thought it was. "Are you thure? You got hit pretty hard." She was more concerned about Brightpaw than herself, which was honestly rare for the self indulged apprentice.

Brightpaw gave a soft, reassuring smile. "Yeah, I'm sure. I got a thick head." She joked a little, despite the throbbing pain in her head. She'd... Admittedly hit her head a couple times in the past... She knew she'd be fine, after she got some time for her head to stop hurting...

"I have to admit, that was rather impressive." She referred to the whole fight, not just the crazy headbutts. Though, that was super cool too.

Brightpaw smiled in return, though... Honestly... She'd prefer to be complimented on some other aspect of her life but... It still felt nice. "Thanks."

Swanpaw only nodded. She wasn't exactly sure where to go from there... She focused on her tongue for a few moments, letting it drop out of her mouth so she could try and look at it.
(Should we end the thread soon?)

((Sure. We're probably gonna hit the 4th page if we keep going and I ran out of ideas lol.))
Brightpaw bit her lip and shifted her weight nervously. "Um... So... I gather you... Okay with me? Does... Does that make us friends?" She reddened and looked away. "Sorry, it's just.... I'm really bad at this. I don't know really know how friendship works." Yes, she had Mudpaw... But that friendship was back when she was a kit who... Wasn't a nervous wreck!
