Swanpaw snickered, though it wasn't in a cruel way. Brightpaw was amusing, how nervous she got just talking. It was adorable. "I don't know why you would want to be, but, yeah... We're friends." She decided, an odd feeling in her chest. She only really had Thunderpaw, and even they had been drifting apart... it was a nice feeling, being wanted.

Brightpaw reddened, though she could detect the lack of malice in Swanpaw's snickering. Her ears folded back. Then they slowly perked back up. "... I want to be because... I like spending time with you. I don't need some... Crazy logical reason to want to be friends." She genuinely enjoyed spending time with Swanpaw. "I have no ulterior motives, I promise and I definitely care about you in a very friendly, platonic way." She started rambling.
((Oh dear. She's babbling b/c she's worried about alienating Swanpaw like she did with Willowpaw))

Swanpaws snicker turned into a laugh, one she didn't use often. If was cheerful and bubbly, and resembled that of a kit. "Well then, I think it's safe to say we are definitely friends." Her eyes shone, a toothy grin on her face. "I like spending time with you too, in a friendly, platonic way." She added mockingly, her tone a sharp jab, but a friendly one at that.

((IM SCREAMING b/c seriously this is the friend she neeeeds I mean she has Mudpaw but i mean she needs a not controversial friend really or IDK she needs people she can be a total dork around))
Brightpaw covered her face with her paws, trying to hide her reddening face. Then she lowered her paws a little, a hopeful shine glistening in her green orbs. A rare spark that.... Honestly, hadn't been in her eyes for a long time. "... Yeah." She replied softly, smiling just a bit. Her real smiles were never exaggerated, like when she was trying to get on someone's nerves. Her real smiles were small... But genuine and so much more meaningful.

Swan just really needs more friends in general, and Bright seems to really get her out of her close minded brat times and AHHH)
Swanpaws laugh dropped, a smile on her face at Brightpaws smile. It was small, but so genuine. She couldn't help it, it was just so contagious. "I should get going... I'll see you around, Brightpaw who I care very much about platonically." She would probably never drop that.
(Hope you don't mind me bringing this adorableness to a close)

((Huh. Seems Bright is a good influence?? I KNEW IT. She's not always being terrible. I think her siblings can bring out the worst in her. Tho rn that worst seems to be kind of... Dispassionate))
Brightpaw noticed how Swanpaw's smile changed to match her's more. Her soft smile didn't leave her face. "Bye, Swanpaw.... See you around." She replied softly, watching Swanpaw leave the scene. Her smile didn't relax into a neutral, yet soft expression until her friend had completely left the scene. Then, she left as well.
