(And last post. I gotta go to bed. Maybe in the morning posts will be longer) Calli laughed slightly at the display and nodded. "Sure, hunting sounds great." she shrugged, but sniffed the air and shook her head. "It just rained. No prey will be out there

Loki nodded. "That's what I thought, but you don't want to sit there forever, right?" He smiled. Of course, all prey would be sheltered from the rain, but it wouldn't be long before they started reappearing again. The rain had stopped. They wouldn't stay hidden forever.

Calista shook her head and got up, not bothering to shake the water out of her fur. That would just make more of a mess, plus it was still foggy, though not as much so. "Well then let's just take a walk until they do come out."

Loki got up to start the walk. He waited a bit for Cali to catch up and walk beside him.
"So," he started. "What have you been doing since the fire? It's been two years since our old home was destroyed. I'm guessing that the cats who used to live there came back, but I wouldn't go back. Would you?"
Loki had told Cali what he had been up to. Father's death, mother's death, brother split up, it wasn't all exciting.

(I am saying they come from Treeclan because the fire was seemingly destructive and a once in a life time experience, plus I believe there was one recently)
Calli shrugged. "I do believe I will go back someday if Greyfang is still alive." she gave a sad smile. "Man my life is really turning into that one song mom used to sing. The one of 'the cat with red colour' who ran away from home on a false pretense. Sure they eventually camp back, it made for a happy ending of the song, but I do believe it explains my life we." she said, singing the Corous of the song to see to it that Loki remembered it.

((thats what i was thinking, that they were from treeclan))
Loki was surprised that Cali would think Grayfang would return to their old home. "You really think he'd be there?" he asked her, a little hope in his heart. He scolded himself internally, he didn't care for his brother. That arrogant brat would just beat him up. But then he remembered old memories of when they used to play fight, when they would sit next to each other for hours after their mother died. He sighed, maybe his older brother wasn't as bad as he thought.
Loki remembered the song that Cali started singing quite well, be he wasn't one to sing like she was. She had always been musically talented, like their mother. "You're just like mother," he teased. "Always singing your heart out."

Callie shook her head. "No. I think three days after you left he would have been gone. But family is always drawn to each other."

Loki didn't want Cali to leave. After a year of loneliness and loss he had found his 'dead' little sister. He didn't ever want to let her go again.
It was weird how family made you feel. After a bit of walking, they came across a sparkling puddle, and Loki bent down to lap up a quick drink.
"I think we should try to stay close," he said, trying to not sound like an all protective older brother. He wasn't like his sappy older brother, who was legitamently the protective one. He just didn't want to lose Cali again.
((your making him act like a sappy kitten :3))

(And I just gave up. I created like, a million responses, so here is a random one. And the shortest on...)
Calli tilted her head. "Loki, how long have you been out in the wild on your own?" she asked curiously.

It was a surprising question. Loki hadn't kept track, really. He was thinking about teasing, and saying 'oh years,' but he was sure his sister was being serious. He tried to retrace his steps.
Two years ago, his sister, who was standing in front of him, died. Two days of his father, dying. The third, he was dead. A year passed and nothing happened. Loki was still with his mom and brother back then. His mother got ill and died that night. That was about 11 months ago. 10 months ago, his brother left. So, he guessed he'd been alone for 10 months, which was a lot shorter than he thought it was.
"Around ten moons, maybe. I hadn't met anyone until about two days ago, then I met you," he said. "It felt like longer than that." At this he gave a small laughing smile.
((moons? months? pretend all the 'months' says 'moons.' and i really need a synonym for 'said.' maybe 'he elaborated,' but that means he explained, but its deeper ))

Calista's gaze softened more than it already was. "Well then you should know by now, out here it's hard to stick together. In the winter you must move to warmer grounds somewhere, and sometimes you just get a fox or wolf nest you can't deal with on your own. Nothing is stationary, even if we want it to be." (Just translate it all to cat form.)

Loki internally screamed. On the outside, he just furrowed his brow a bit. "Then where will you go?"
She had already answered his question, really. Cali had told him that she wanted to find Grayfang. "If you going to find Gray, look for the big, looming, sappy hulk of a cat and that'll be him."
Though, Loki would be quite happy if she did bring him back.

Calista shook her head and rolled her eyes. "Loki, I've lived out here longer than you. I have my own den." she said. In reality she would have over to stay with Loki, but she couldn't. The reason she had left Treeclan was that she thought Greyfang was dead and didn't want to live in two different worlds. If she lived with Loki it would be the same but worse. In Loki's world, "Mom is dead." she said it under her breath, but didn't mean to say it out loud at all. In her world Greyfang was dead, but in his their mom was. That was enough to have forced her to do... something in the past. Before she left if her mom had just died she would have done something bad. Her mom was the one who kept her so innocent and... Oh heavens no. Not back then. Apparently only now bing hit by the realization she shook her head and took a small step back.

Loki nodded his head, as if to say 'yeah, yeah.' But as he watched Cali, her mind seemed to wander. Then all of a sudden, she almost fell over. Loki took a step toward her to try to catch her, but she steadied herself.
"Are you okay?" he asked, concern on his face. He had heard her mutter something, but it was too quiet to hear.
((i hurt myself in the shower. i stepped on the drain :3))

(If you're still interested, Loki is acctually married. In Marvel and mythology. his wife dates back to Pagen Gods.) Calista was ussually good at pulling herself together, as she didnt like to see others hurt see to her own emotions, but Shen couldn't seem to with this. "Mom..." her voice trailed off. "She's_ trying to go further she found she couldn't and just shook her head.
