LokiSky had just woken from her nap, and was waiting silently in the caves for Loki to arrive. Although, while she was waiting, she made sure to know the exact path she would take him down. He had asked her to teach him something nearly impossible for a cat who could see, although she could still try. And this was the perfect way to do it. She stayed near the entrance, that way she would sense anyone coming inside. Although, she had coated herself in mud, and was waiting for him so she could hide.

L oki padded along a narrowed path in the canyon, taking what he thought was Sky's plan part by part. From past experiences and his own knowledge and trickery, he would take a cat into the canyons because one could not see in the blackness. It would be the perfect way to inhance his ability to hear. However, knowing Sky, she probably had another trick up her sleeve. So far, he had come to find she enjoyed taking out a cats every sense. Without sight, Loki would only have his ears, nose, paws and mouth left. If he knew Sky right, she would probably pull a trick on his sense of smell, so that he couldn't scent her out. So as he neared the cave enterance, he kept that in the back of his mind.

Sky's ears perked as a cat entered the cave, one she quickly realized was no other than Loki. She moved towards the echoiest part of the caves, her voice booming, a few octaves lower than normal. "You better be quick." She snickered in a rather sinister matter. She had a feeling Loki wasn't easily scared, but it never hurt to have some fun.
With that Sky waited for him to move deeper into the darkness. She figured their last encounter in the caves hadn't gone so well because he could still see her. This time, Sky was completely unrecognizable in the mud, and blended in nearly perfectly with her surroundings.

L oki rolled his eyes at Sky's attempt at being scary. He had gone through battles and wars much scarier than a single cat, and hadn't flinched a muscle. He'd been pushed off cliffs, and jumped off waterfalls when an apprentice, he'd even been blown off a mountainside by a storm. He assumed it was his brother's doing. Yet, he was still standing, and hadn't broken a bone in his life. "I don't think your going to be able to scare me. You have no idea what I'm afraid of," Loki said with a sneer. He didn't even know what he was afriad of. Maybe he hadn't encountered anything that shook him to the bone. Well, he didn't like regection, but he wasn't scared of it.

"Oh c'mon, have some fun." Sky purred, her voice still eerily low. She cut off all further noises coming from herself. Her heart beat was slow and steady, impossible to hear. She had limited her breathing, and not even she herself could hear it. Her paws moved with a perfected silence, easy avoiding small rocks and ridges. She moved closer to Loki, brushing her tail along his side as she sped past him. "You have to remember this when you want your hearing to be better. Remember the quiet. Remember the masked scents. Zone every other sense out until all you're left with is your ears." She instructed.

L oki couldn't help but roll his eyes at the comment, but right after she spoke, silence dropped upon him. He didn't mind the silence, sometimes he even enjoyed it. Then she spoke again, this time it was near his ear. Her tail brushed his side, and his neck flinched, trying to pinpoint her location. He took her words into account, and let out a steady breath before nearly silencing himself. He stood, still and quiet as a statue, and closed his eyes. It was no use kepting them open. All thoughts left his head, and he was greeted with nothing but silence. If Sky made one noise, his ears could pinpoint its exact location. However, he didn't know how he could silence himself in a battle, or walking through the woods. He guessed he would learn that, as well.

Sky strained her ears, although she was greeted with almost complete silence. Though, she could still hear us extremely faint breathing. Moving closer without a single amount of sound she pinpointed his location with her nose. He would need to learn how to do this in battle, so what other way to show him than by doing it? Sky gave him a tiny amount of notice. She inhaled softly, breaking the silence, although if e wasn't listening close enough he wouldn't have heard it. She lunged for him, aiming a smack to the face.

L oki neard the faintest of breaths reach his ear, and his eyes flew open as he felt wind whiz past him. With the sound, he had instinctively sat back a small bit and apparently dodged an attack from Sky by accident. He let out a quiet huff, and if to say, 'you do enjoy cave fights, don't you?'

Sky only grinned at the huff. He had dodged her attack, though she doubted it was on purpose. Instantly she was turned around, this time without a single sound of warning, aiming to fly straight past him and slash his muzzle.

L oki heard the smallest scuffle of paws, but before he knew, he felt wind blow past him and pain on his muzzle. Hot blood spurted from two scratches on his nose, and one beneath it. It dripped a bit into his mouth, and he spat it out with a menacing glare. His eyes pierced the darkness with green rage until he stood up with the superiority of a king. Loki's ears perked, anticipating Sky's next move.

Sky grinned as she felt blood spray onto her claws, crouching down once she was a safe distance away. From what she could tell, Loki generally fought with his anger. Although he was a good fighter, Sky figured she had an emotional advantage on him too. She had perfected her mental fighting skills as well as physical, and she could easily feel nothing during a scuffle. Although, today wasn't about teaching Loki to control his emotions. Sky danced around him tauntingly, although her paw steps were silent. Her paw was met with a small stone, which she quickly picked up with her claws, sending it towards his face. Perhaps it would be a little fun to annoy him.

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Loki felt a small stone zoom back his ear, barely hitting it. He whirled around, his ears straining through the silence and his eyes through the darkness. He could barely see her white fur inthe near pitch blackness, and it annoyed him. Hewondered why he'd agreed to do this, he was already a fair enough fighter. He quickly darted to what he thought was Sky, whizzing past the small bit of whiteness with an attempted attack on the side, which was only one claw sticking out, that would draw a line down her flank.

Loki was fast, but so was Sky. Sky had pinpointed his scent rushing at her the moment he had moved even an inch. Sky dropped to the ground and rolled underneath his still moving form, his claws scraping through her fur without inflicting any wounds. Her intention was to trip him up, although she didn't stop rolling, that way she wouldn't be trapped underneath him.

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Loki noticed that he had missed her, and hissed before going completely silent once again. He leaped onto a high rock and narrowed his eyes through the darkness, trying to find Sky. (( i made a new character ))

Sky held back a snicker at his hiss, although a sinister grin grew on her face. What fun this was. Sky pulled her paw back as it touched a thick puddle of mud, rolling around in it once again. She wouldn't want it to be easy for him. "You're eyes better be closed." Sky growled, moving her position instantly as she said that so he wouldn't locate her. It would be no use teaching him if they weren't. He would never get used to the feeling.
-Sweet, wanna have a thread with Sky then?-
