She looked over to Thornfrost again, noticing the limp apprentice this time. Her bland gaze shifted to the tom, briefly scanning the right side of his body. Quickly averting her gaze, she refrained from gaping when he spoke of losing more clanmates. "I never thought of it like that, I... I swear I wouldn't have those intentions."
She was about to continue when the tom braced himself against the thunderpath and it's harsh, rough surface. She blinked hard, just to see if she was imagining him now, but... it was very real. She spotted a monster approaching in the distance as the tom ran and snatched up poor Cheetahpaw. It grew so close her mind fogged over for a moment.
As he reached the grass again, a strong wind came with him that smelled of thunderpath and it's harsh stench. Monsters began to race back in forth across the path again as in routine. Her round eyes grew wider and she whipped around in direction of the tom. Was he all right, was he -- she smiled internally, wincing at the thought of him getting hurt on the path because of her. He didn't, though, so everything was good. Shaking her left, hind leg quickly to relieve it of some earlier pain, she limped over to the tom.
She gave a small, understanding nod of her tiny head. "All right," she mewed, nodding her head in appreciation as she did so. "Thank you for... getting Cheetahpaw."

Rookkit grinned at the praise from his clan-mates, straightening his posture and raising his head. "Don't sweat it, we are clan-mates after all--we gotta look out for each other," the tom-kit then looked around for a few seconds, observing his surroundings while he tried to come up with a plan for how the three should search for the missing Edgekit. "Now, how about I catch up with Robinstar and ask if he's seen Edgekit anywhere? Your brother might not be with him, but Robinstar might still have seen him somewhere. Or we could ask your mother? If she's around, that is. After all, I may not be all that big, but I am quick on my feet! I'm sure I could question either of them in a few minutes flat," the black kitten smiled encouragingly at Snap-paw , his blue eyes gleaming in confidence. Rookkit looked at Darkpool , "of course, it's cool if you guys have other ideas," the tom-kit's gaze flicked from the warrior and apprentice to the vast amounts of approaching snow, "we are a bit limited on time though, so we should start moving quickly."

tigerblaze was lost in the confused crowd who unofficially settled on the other side of the thunderpath. the sound of rushing monsters scratched at the she-warrior's ears, making her scowl. where were they going now? there was no going back to camp—everythinf had been decimated. she overheard the higher-ups talking, spying the elders and thornfrost amongst them. loner territory. tigerblaze's frown deepened. iceclan had to relocate once already to some desert, but loner territory? there would be enemies abound there mixed with unfamiliarity of the land. ah, whatever. they can figure it out when they got there.

( I did not expect so many posts when I got back xD but so sorry this is late I was really busy this weekend )
Robinstar watched as the first half of the Clan crossed, his eyes glazing over slightly as one of the apprentices got hit. No, no, no. It felt as if his stomach was rolling. I'm failing my Clan. I should've seen it earlier. Multiple other doubts scrolled through his head, but he pushed them aside as @maplefrost and Thornfrost approached him. "You're right, of course. We can't stay here." He spoke before turning to face them. "And the other Clan's won't take us now, when prey is still low."
They would have to go into loner territory. But where would they stay? An idea came to mind. The barn. He definitely did not want to revisit such old memories, ones that he'd tried to forget, and he was afraid it would have a bad affect on him. But he was one cat compared to his entire Clan, and the barn would definitely fit all of them. Of course, there were likely a cat or two staying there, but it was all he could think of.
"I have a place," he reassured the two, turning back to the road as a monster roared past. "The rest of you, go!" He waved them forward with his tail, watching anxiously as the sea of cats crossed the road, glancing behind him to check if any stragglers would arrive. "Wait for me on the other side!"

mallowpaw buried his nose briefly in Beetlepaw's fur, eyes fluttering near shut with exhaustion and pain. he wrenched away from his sister—he couldn't pass out now. he dismissed her worried question with a stubborn shake of his head. later. the white tom ran after his nimble sibling, and by some miracle, they managed to congregate with the rest of the clan safely. his steel-colored eyes looked at the wound on his chest and the cracks in his paw pads from the freezing ice and snow. he frowned. "you okay?" he asked beetlepaw instead; he could take care of himself later.

(ajsjhdksksjd late sorry)
Edgekit was stuck. He was woken by rumbling, and the next thing he knew he was rolling and being tossed around like a doll. And now he was stuck, though he'd managed to get his head and one paw free. However, the snow was so heavy he couldn't get his short, kitten legs (curse them) up in order to dig around himself. His ears were pressed against his skull in rage.
I won't call for help. I'm not weak like that. I'll.. figure something out. But after sitting like that for a while, it was hopeless. He couldn't get himself out of the snow without help from another cat. He grumbled to himself before remembering Snap-paw. I hope he's okay. Though Edge would never admit it, he cared deeply for his brother. If he's hurt, I'm gonna kill him.
Soon, though, cats appeared against the endless white. And, as they drew closer he recognized one as Snap-paw, and two others (Rookpaw & Darkpool). "Hey, bro, get your rump over here!" He shouted in exasperation. "Honestly, how did you not see me? My pelt sticks out like a sore thumb against this stuff." He grunted, before deciding how to go about this situation.
"I can get out myself, it will just take too long so just dig a little ways down," he suggested, staring at each of them in turn to make sure they wouldn't try and convince him that he was, indeed, stuck.

With a nod at Rook-kit, Snap-paw split away and began his search. He'd not gone two steps before a familiar voice broke his concentration. The sight of Edgekit stuck was not something he would soon forget, or let his brother forget either; but seeing him unharmed turned all of his worry into annoyance. "Rookpaw, I found him!" He bellowed over his shoulder, stomping towards the kit.
"t's not like I can even see much of your pelt. What were you trying to do, make friends with the stupid snow? Did you think that would stop the avalanche?" Despite his incredulous tone, the white and brown tom did take the opportunity to lean in and gratefully headbump Edgekit while he was still stuck. Hopefully with Rook-kit and Darkpool beside him the apprentice began digging out his brother.

tag here | ◀ | nothing burns like cold ❤ Quillfoot shrugged, uncomfortable with the praise. He was used to receding into shadow and not doing crazy, life-threatening things. "I'm a lot like you, kid," he finally responded with a rueful grin. "It would have eaten away at me if I'd just left her there alone." After all, if he'd been left on the prairie instead of being taken in by Fireclan he'd certainly have died from his wounds. It was too late for Cheetahpaw, but he could never condone leaving behind a clanmate.
He shifted Cheetahpaw's weight on his shoulders and nodded to himself. "Come on then, I won't be able to carry you as well if you fall behind." It was almost a warning, but the fact that he'd almost gotten himself killed saving a dead clanmate probably spoke volumes about how far he'd go for a live one. Particularly a kit. "I'd really hate for you to get lost,or stuck in a hole, or eaten by a fox, or stepped on, get stuck in a bush....The possibilities are endless." And he was almost gleeful listing them, even as he moved away to catch up the clan. Well, if it worried @avalanche into staying close, it had done it's job.

"...right now.. well, cloudclan wants us to go somewhere else. as long as we stick together with the clan, we'll find home." eveningkit trusted the ginger-and-white tabby she-cat who stood before here now completely - perhaps she had to, if she were to survive. tail trembling slightly, she followed her mother's - rowansky was her mother now - gaze to the long stretch of dark stone that was rough on the pads of young kittens.
she had a foreboding sense that what she had heard the warriors call the 'thunderpath' did not serve good purposes; it gave off an acrid, harsh smell and the tone of her clanmates as they spoke of it, even now, before the naive, trusting she-kitten, was dark. she closed her eyes, trying to let the image of the thunderpath, huge, dark, unforgiving and emotionless. monsters with huge, gaping maws and yellow eyes that were cold, and yet they burnt into eveningkit. she shivered. "mothkit? are you okay?" she ventured, peering at her sister - not her blood sister, but her sister nonetheless.

Riverpaw raced across the Thunder path, once more. He looked directly at his leader. Before trying to find his mother again.

A shiver went up Crevicepaw's spine when she looked at the thunderpath. The she-cat raced arcross the Thunderpath when Robinstar had told her too. Crevicepaw had made it to the other side.

Darkpool heard a loud voice and followed it to find Snap-paw digging up a kit, presumably Edgepaw. A bit of relief made her giddy, and she began to dig, her large forepaws compacting the snow so it didn't fall back onto Edgekit. She grabbed the tortoiseshell by the scruff and set him down on the snow. "We should get going. The rest of the Clan went to the Thunderpath. You can walk, right? Not just falling over snow, of course." she said, nudging the kit towards Snap-paw. She turned around and tried to see Rookpaw, but her left eye appeared to have completely given up at trying to see, and so she called out. "Rookkit! We've found the little brat, don't worry! Just head towards the Thunderpath!" her voice echoed around the camp and she shivered from the cold, but flicked her tail and began to limp quickly towards the border.

Rookkit's blue gaze snapped towards Snap-paw's general direction when he heard his name called, it only took him a few moments to spot the other tom among the chaos. The black tom-kit began to race towards his direction, seeing a younger tom-kit, presumably Edgepaw, trapped under the snow as he got closer. He was about a fox-length away when Darkpool freed the tortoiseshell kitten. He would've argued with her on running ahead, but the approaching avalanche was unnerving him and he was confident that the others would be able to make it down safely. "Alright!" he called to the three, "I'll meet you all on the other side of the Thunderpath!" he turned on his heels and raced towards the dark strip of land he assumed would be the Thunderpath. He kept his ears open and alert for any calls for help as he approached the road.

Featherkit sat near the thunderpath, her small muzzle wrinkled in disgust by the smell and her eyes were wide with fear. In the beginning of the avalanche cats had trampled over her due to her pure white coat, mistaking her for nothing but snow. She had managed to escape the snow in the nick of time before the whole camp was washed away in billow of white. She shook slightly, fearing that she had been separated from her clan mates for good when she spotted Rookkit approaching the road. She opened her mouth to speak but only a small whine managed to come out. She shook uncontrollably as a monster zoomed by, its foul odour seeking her out and forcing a wheezy cough out of her aching lungs.
