It was a clear, crisp morning, where the ground was covered in a thin layer of fog. Dew lay on the ground, soaking the paws of a black tom who padded there. A small creek ran alongside him, providing a small sound.
Loki padded on. He thought of many things in the morning. His theories of his father, and brother. He didn't actually believe his father dead. Somehow, he felt sure that his father was alive, and hidden away somewhere. Perhaps somewhere were Loki couldn't find him. He had always feared the black cat, but Loki had no intentions of killing his own father.
Suddenly, Loki stopped and flicked his ears back, picking up the sound of pawsteps behind him. "There aren't many cats who can sneak up on me," he said.

"Then you haven't met many cats." Sky purred coolly. She had been roaming around for awhile, and when the scent of a familiar feline invaded her senses she decided she may as well. She hadn't exactly been trying to sneak up on him, though it was half her intentions. If she really wanted to, she bet she could.
"How are you this fine morning?" She questioned, head tilting to the side as if she actually wanted to know the answer. She didn't really care.

Loki turned to face the other feline, knowing fully well who it was before he turned. "That may be true," he said. Or else, he had better senses than she thought.
At the next question she asked, he internally rolled his eyes. He knew she didn't care much, even though he had only met her one other time. He fake smiled, and it was certainly fake, and spoke through his teeth. "Oh, splendid." He had picked up on the bit of class in her words, as she said 'fine morning.' He mimicked that slight class. "And you?"

"Just fantastic!" She mimicked him mimicking her, a toothy grin on her face. "I'm so glad I bumped into you though, I had almost gotten bored." She fake pouted. She didn't exactly bump into him, more like she stalked him.

"We don't want you getting bored, now do we?" Loki said, in the same strange, classy way. It was strange for him to talk like this, but at least she was playing along. That's what was different about Sky, she played along. That made her more interesting than all the other boring cats out there.

"Oh no, that would just be terrible!" She placed a paw over her forehead like she might faint at the thought of such a disastrous outcome. She definitely liked this tom, he played her games. "Perhaps we can do something fun?" She grinned, her tail swaying innocently.

Loki gave a smile, though he knew she couldn't see it. "If it keeps you from getting bored, then certainly." He padded a step closer, waiting for her to respond.

Sky stayed where she was, sensing him coming closer. Her tail slowed down to a gentle sway, grinning. She had tested his reactions in more ways than one, though not like this. She took a step forward, their whiskers brushing. "What ever shall we do?" She whispered, head tilting slightly to the side.

Loki turned to make a circle around her. She would probably still attack him, for whatever reason. Who knew what she was thinking of. "Didn't you have some ideas?" he asked back, watching her but still keeping a calm stature.

"I don't think you would like any of my ideas. Besides, we always do what I want.... What do you want?" She was making it sound like they had known each other for ages. When in reality, he was just another one of Sky's play things, and one day, she would get bored of him.

Loki rolled his eyes. Any of his ideas involved strange things, such as taking over clans or something weird. He had had that idea, once. He wasn't sure he was going to follow through with it, however. He narrowed his eyes at her with a smile. "I'm full of surprises, even if you don't care to look for them."
He then flicked his tail and threw himself gracefully up a tree. "We could test our skills," he suggested, wondering which of his skills needed improvement.

"Who says I'm not looking?" She purred, sitting down gently, sweeping her tail over her paws. Her ears flicked, nose following him as he moved. He seemed to have jumped on something, and based on the scent of wood she assumed tree. Sky couldn't exactly climb trees. "How?" She tilted her head curiously at the suggestion of testing their skills. They had already battled each other, what else did he want?

"Well, for starters, I think my hearing is pretty great, but its nothing like yours," Loki said as he swept out onto a branch above her head. He stopped and sat on it, dangling his tail off and looking down at her. "Maybe you could teach me." He smiled, and it could be heard in his voice.
Then, he swished his tail back and forth and he heard a bird higher in the tree. "I could teach you something. Whatever you want to know, I probably have the answer." Loki craned his head to try to spot the bird, but when he did, he noticed it was sitting in a nest and decided to leave it be.

Sky thought about his offer for a moment. She followed him with her muzzle as he moved directly above her, discreetly slipping to the side. That way he wouldn't be able to jump on her so easily. She didn't bother mentioning that the reason her hearing was so sensitive was because of her lack of sight, she was sure it could be taught aswell.
"Alright..." She thought some more. At the scent of a bird she grinned. "Teach me how to hunt better." Teaching a blind cat to be a better hunter wouldn't be easy, just like teaching an ordinary cat to hear better. Would he be up for it?

Loki smiled, he was up to the task. He wasn't sure why, but hunting always made him feel better. Maybe because he could focus on one thing, instead of everything around him, and maybe that was something he could try to teach to Sky, but he thought it nearly an unteachable trait.
He looked down at her with a smile, and asked casually, "Can you climb trees?" If he was to teach her to hunt, she shouldn't be confined to ground prey only. And, he had spotted a bird just the other minute, and that could be their starting block.
