After a few long moments of silence, Sky shifted so she was facing him. "Y'know, you still haven't exactly improved my hunting." She teased, grinning slightly. It was neither malicious nor happy. Simply a grin.

L oki turned to look at her. What she said was true, he really hadn't, but hadn't he? "No, but I taught you how to climb a tree," he said with a grin.

Sky huffed in amusement. "Tree climbing wasn't exactly a part of our deal." She pointed out. She really did want him to help improve her hunting skills.

L oki smiled and said in an innocent voice, "You got me." He quickly ducked down under the leaves and crouched down on the branch with a smile.

Sky's head tilted slightly to hear better as he ducked, copying his stance with a slight grin. "What now, oh wise teacher?" She mocked him, tail flicking to keep her balance.

L oki gave a small laugh. "Now we descend, if you want to learn better hunting," he said, looking into her empty eye sockets. He wondered, if she did have eyes, what color they would be.

"How will descending make me a better hunter?" Sky scoffed slightly, though either way agreed to go down. She had remember a few of the branches and their locations, so she easily leaped down the first four. Although, after that, she wasn't sure where to jump next.

L oki rolled his eyes and followed her. "Unless you want a few small birds, all the prey is on the ground," he said. Ground prey was also easier to catch, and would provide a better lesson for Sky.

Sky didn't say anything, her mood dropping back to its usual the further down they got. She followed him down with almost no slip ups, other than the occasional stumble and fight for balance.

F inally, Loki leaped from the last branch and landed on the ground. He looked at Sky and noticed that her usual mood had returned. He felt slightly guilty, and padded around silently, his ears perked for any noises of nearby prey. "I'm sure you already know how to hunt," he said after a while, "but some prey is harder to catch. What do you usually eat?" That was a slightly weird question, but if he knew what Sky hunted, he would be able to teach her better.

Sky leapt down after him, relieved and disappointed to be back on the ground. She felt a lot less wary, and enjoyed having her independence back, though she knew she most likely wouldn't be climbing a tree anytime soon again. It was a very vulnerable place for her to be, up in the tree tops.
"I eat anything and everything." She shrugged. "Except for fish. It's impossible to fish without seeing anything." Generally Sky preferred to try and get a hawk, but those were rare, and usually took two cats to take down.

W ell, that information didn't help all that much, but it still gave Loki a lead. "Go hunt something," he said with a small laugh. That sounded hilarious coming from his mouth, but he wanted to observe her. If she wanted to get better, she would have to follow along with his demands.

Sky flattened her ears against her head at the demand, a low growl rising in her throat. She pushed it down, knowing that he was supposedly helping her hunt better. She had asked him too, after all. She sent him a warning hiss before stalking off, trying to locate some prey.
After a few long moments her sensitive nose picked up a vole. Instantly she crouched, tail perfectly still, almost brushing the grass. She slowly moved after it, paws brushing low so she could feel any rocks or twigs before stepping on them and alerting her prey. Sky then lunged forward towards the pinpointed vole once she was close enough, although her paw slammed down on its leg instead of head. It jerked away from her, and she clumsily chased after it. Sky snagged it back with her claws, trying to bite at its neck, though she wasn't sure where it's neck was exactly. She managed a bite to the spine, first paralyzingly it, them biting down on its head to kill.

L oki gave her an amused smile and sat down, silently laughing at her grumpiness. He watched as she stalked off into the grass, and paid close attention as she hunted a vole. When she killed it, Loki took notice that it had had a painful death, though he guessed that was because Sky hadn't known where it's head had been. He stood and started forward, thinking of some things that he could help her with.

Sky turned around sharply, slightly flustered at her messy kill, though she didn't show it. "So?" She demanded, leaving the bleeding prey in the grass. It was a kill for sport, she supposed, since she hadn't intended on eating it.
