 L oki padded up and poked it with his claw, then looked up at her. "I can try to teach you how to sense where the head is, but it'll be difficult," he started. He hoped she was up for the challenge, though. |

"Let's do it." Sky nodded as if he needed her permission, waiting rather impatiently for him to start 'teaching' her. This was a life skill that she needed to perfect, so she was willing to listen to him.

L oki stepped forward and dragged the vole a few feet away. It was still warm, and he hoped Sky could sense that. "Try using your sense of smell to follow this, and I'll show you how to find the best place to kill it." He continued dragging the vole until he was well over five yards away. |

Sky snorted slightly, huffing. "This is just getting ridiculous." She scoffed. Although, in the end, she ended up doing as she was told. Sky followed him and the dead prey with ease, her paws brushing low to the ground so she wouldn't suddenly trip over something. It had became rather easy to get around, even if she didn't know the area well. "Now what?" She questioned with an annoyed expression as she caught up to him.

L oki nodded toward the vole, "Pounce on it. Try to feel where the head is before you bite, with your paws. You don't have your sight, so you have to use something else. In this case, use your sense of touch." What he was saying probably sounded stupid, and he wished he could just give her his hunting skills, but nothing works that way. Or at least here, nothing works that way. |

Sky didn't say much, only nodding in concentration. She was willing to put in the work to get better, one of the few positive traits she had held onto since kithood. Sky pinpointed its scent, pouncing on it quickly. She spaced her paws apart, one landing on its lower back and the other on the base of its neck. Sky grinned and bit right down on its head. Normally she would have gone for the neck, though she simply did this to emphasize that she was capable of feeling for its body parts, just like he had suggested.

L oki leaped onto his paws with a smile and a sense of pride. "That's great!" he exclaimed, padding closer. "Do you think you could try it while hunting?" It was more of a challenge than a question, and he held a hint of mischief in his voice. |

Sky couldn't help feeling a little proud of herself. She pushed the feeling right down and crushed it. There wasn't any room for pride. "Of course I can." Sky huffed, lifting her head slightly. She would never back down for a challenge. "Watch and learn." She found that kind of funny, considering he had just taught her. Sky slinked forward, keeping her mouth open to smell the prey. Once she caught a whiff of a mouse, she grinned. Stalking forward until close enough she pounced, doing the same thing as before with little difficulty, this time biting on its neck for a quick kill. She flashed him a grin.

L oki nodded, it was impressive, but he knew Sky could get it. "It looks like you don't need me anymore," he said, a slight twinkle of amusement in his eye. His tail swayed slowly behind him. |

Sky nodded her head in agreement. "Nope, not at all actually." She moved closer to him, poking his side with a paw testingly. "Besides, I never really needed you. I would have been fine on my own."

L oki gave a short laugh, and responded her. "Oh, I'm sure you would be. Not everyone likes an attractive, lethal killer following them, anyway." His voice was playful, joking. (( sure )) |

"Are you talking about me, or you?" Sky purred, joking with him. She wasn't always cold hearted. Or, atleast 5% of the time she wasn't.

Sky nodded. She didn't have a great sense of time, although she knew it was soon going to get dark. "Looks like we will have to do it tomorrow then. Meet me in the caves." She grinned mischievously, bounding away with a wave of her tail before he could respond. She didn't give him a time. There was no need, she would be sleeping in there anyways.
