( Loki, this is after she left and she met Minnie.) Calista followed silently, tracking her brother's every move. She had left for a moon and was trying to gouge if Thor would take up her offer and have her leave her home. Gods she didn't want to, but she would. She had lived years without them and she knew it would probably be better for all of them if she left. But she didn't want to. So she sat watching, trying to work up the nerve to talk to him. She had come back a bit early after an encounter with a cat that had scared her half to death and given her a scar on her back and a slight limp in her front right leg that had healed enough she could cover it. At least she had fought well, thanks to the fighting training that Shadowstrike had taught her despite her fathers protests. Apparently her betrothed didn't want her to be able to fight for herself. Not that it mattered. She had long ago left her family. Which had led to this. Calista turned as she smelled clover. "I know you're there Loki." she said with a small and sad smile. "I swear, I'm not spying on him. I just need to build up the nerve to face him. Final judgement and all."(Oh yeah, she offered to just plain out leave if that turned out Thor's final desision.)

L oki had spent the day doing nothing, so he had decided on going after his brother, but he didn't exactly have much to talk about, so he had plotted along silently far behind his brother's tracks. That was when he picked up the faint scent of his sister. She had been gone for a bit, and he hadn't expected her to get back so early, yet she was back. He quickly became completely silent and started to creep up a hill towards Cali. He wasn't sure why he was being so quiet, usually quiet at that. He always had light steps, but not this light. When she turned her head to smile at him, he stopped. Obviously she had scented him out, and he felt slightly stupid and silly. He sighed and layed on his belly next to her, saying in a dull yet amused voice, "You got me." He turned his head to look at her. "You know he's your brother, right?"

Cali shrugged. "Which only makes what I did worse." she responded, biting her lip slightly. Turning fully towards Loki, Calista sat down. If she didn't walk it would be pretty hard for him to notice her limping. "I'm sorry for pulling you into all of this, but Thor really does need you."

L oki looked down with an amused smile, obviously entertained by her comment. "If he needs me, then he's the only one in our family that ever needed anyone." What came from his mouth was true, even if it hurt a little bit. Cali never needed Loki, she could do fine on her own. And truely, Loki didn't need anyone either. He had made it this far without anyone, and he could make it further on his own.

"That's not true at all. Dad always relied on mom, who in turn relied on me. Thor you and I have always relied on each other in some way, though maybe not one that you'd notice. As for me, in my time alone I managed to master the art of relying on all the wrong cats." she responded, laughter in her eyes at the last part. "I rely on you and Thor too. Just not when you and Thor already have your own issues. As for you and Thor, you definitely depend on each other way more than you like to admit."

L oki listened to her whole statement, but slightly scoffed at her last sentence. He never thought he needed his brother, but looking up and out at the grey cat below them, he internally sighed. Thor was his older brother, and when they were kits, Loki had always trailed him, following everything he did and depending on him to impress their father. But Thor always seemed to let Loki down. As apprentices, Loki had started to become distant from his brother, but still depended on him for getting food and things of that sort. Now, Loki didn't think he needed his brother at all, but when the cat was missing, he felt guilty. He shouldn't have, but it was still there. Those were small examples, though. He met his sister's gaze. "How do I depend on him?"

"He is you brother, and don't try to pull that adopted fox dung on me, you and Thor were raised as brothers. Physically, no, you don't depend on him. Mentally you do. When he was gone you felt guilty. If you had known he would have been gone forever, it would have broken you. You two support each other in the fact that if one went missing, there would be a gaping whole in the other. It's burried deep now, but if that day ever comes it will arise."

L oki's ears slowly flattened as he stared straight ahead, listening to her words. It was hard to believe, and even harder to accept. He didn't like being told that he depended on anyone, and he wouldn't accept it. He turned his head right slightly with a scowl, but dropped it with a sigh. He wasn't sure how to feel, or what to believe.

Cali shrugged, frowning as she had been mostly through their conversation. "that's not the point though. He's going to need you. He does need you. I don't know what happened between you two while I was gone, but you both know it's time to get over that."

L oki shook his head. "No Cali, you don't understand. We're stranded here, all three of us, because of him. Ever wanted to know what happened if you fell over the Edge? Well this is what happens. You end up on Midgard, where even the gatekeeper won't let us back in." The glare the followed wasn't durected at Cali, but at Thor.

"No, Loki, you're not taking all facts into consideration. It's my fault we're all here. It was from the beginning. I was the first one here and if I hadn't left, you two never would have ended up here. And I knew what would happen well before I acted. I was all but trained under MimÃr. The time I didn't spend in classes, I spent learning more from the scribes. Even way back when... do you remember the fight that Thor and I had in the mess hall that one time? When you two wanted to throw a cat off? Well even then I knew. And none of us are stranded except maybe him. You have your shortcut back, yes I know about that, and I have connections that allow me through unnoticed. He's the only one that can't get back." she said, shaking her head. "If you want to be mad at anyone, be mad at me."
(Don't ask how scribes work in cat world.)

L oki turned his head to meet her gaze and sat up, so that he was sitting tall on his haunches. He was a little intimidating, especially because his height, but he would never intimidate his little sister. "How did you know about my..." he searched for the word. It was like the Bifrost, a portal, but not exactly. There were a few of them, eight, to be exact, hidden all over Asgard. Each one went to a different realm, and he guessed they were made before the Bifrost, but were forgotten in time. Loki had stumbled across one as an apprentice, and discovered the others as a warrior. He had searched for them, extremely curious since his encounter as an apprentice. But this distracted him from the main topic. He shook his head with a slight furrow in his brow. "Cali, don't say that." A fire roared in his brain, and he shook it off. Loki was smart, and he was surprised he actually believed that Cali had died in the fire. "You left clues behind," he smiled. "In the back of my mind, I knew you were alive, but my heart thought you were dead. I shouldn't have been so blind."

Calli tilted her head. "I was always good at tracking and always wanting to learn more. When you came across the portal, I did some research and found out more. Not much though, no one knows anything. Only that there were seven others. Don't know where they were, but they exsisted." she said, shrugging. "As for the clues, for as long as I stuck around I may as well have acctually told you I was alive. I had the means, Shadowstrike was helping me, but..." her ears flattened am duchess she took a small step back, "I was scared. I was a stupid coward who couldn't get over little mind blocks that mean nothing. I did, acctually, try at one point, but you were out of your room and I couldn't very well go wandering Asgaurd to look for you. I should have waited though. Should have done more than left that willow branch. You probably didn't even find it."

A t Shadowstrike's name, Loki scowled. He had never enjoyed the self righteous cat. He had always found him annoying. However, his mind went to the willow branch. He had found a decaying branch in the corner of his den, but by then, it was nearly a pile of dust. He hadn't known what it was before, but it slightly resembled a branch. He had gotten on the servants that cleaned his room, even though there was barely anything to ever clean. "I found a pile of dust."

Calista shrugged, shaking her head slightly. "How?" she asked in a hushed voice, gazing down to cover for a tear that rolled down her face.
